New ChampCar Website Guide Makes Finding What You Need Easier

If you have ever found yourself clicking around ChampCar.org trying to remember where a certain page, form, rule, or tool lives, you are definitely not alone.

ChampCar has grown a lot over the years, and so has our website. We now have a large, full-featured site covering everything from race schedules and event information to rules, registration, team tools, results, member resources, technical information, and much more.

That is a good problem to have, but it can also make finding the right information a little overwhelming, especially for newer members.

Over the past several weeks, I have been spending a lot of late nights behind the scenes coding, researching, and looking closely at the issues teams, members, and prospective racers have been having while using the ChampCar website.

A big part of that work has been trying to answer a simple question:
How can we make it easier for people to find what they need?

Introducing the ChampCar Website Guide

The new ChampCar Website Guide is designed to serve as a roadmap to ChampCar.org.

Instead of having to remember exactly where a page is located, the guide helps explain what the different sections of the website are for and points you toward the tools and information you are looking for.

Whether you are trying to find race information, register for an event, research the rules, look up results, find technical resources, or simply learn more about how ChampCar works, the goal is to make navigating the website much easier.

For longtime members, it may help you discover pages or tools you did not know existed.

For new members, we hope it makes getting started with ChampCar a lot less intimidating.

More Help Is Coming

Andrea and I are also working on a new ChampCar Registration System Manual.

That guide will walk members and team captains through many of the things that can sometimes be confusing when using the registration system, including:

* Joining and registering with the club
* Managing your membership
* Registering for race events
* Team and captain functions
* Car registration and maintenance
* Updating vehicle information
* Managing event entries
* Other commonly used registration tools

Our goal is to create instructions that are useful not only for someone who has been racing with ChampCar for years, but also for the person who may have discovered ChampCar yesterday and is trying to figure out how to get started.

Help Us Make It Better

This is also something we want to keep improving.

If there is something on the ChampCar website that is difficult to find, poorly explained, confusing, or simply missing, please let us know.

Sometimes the people who work with the website every day already know where everything is, which can make it easy to overlook the places where someone new might get stuck.

Your feedback helps us find those weak spots.

Send your suggestions, questions, or ideas to:
[email protected]

If something has confused you, there is a pretty good chance someone else has had the same question.

Thanks for helping us continue to make ChampCar easier to use, both at the racetrack and online.

CHAMPCAR MEMBERSHIP UPDATE FOR 2027

ChampCar Endurance Series annual club membership will remain $75 for 2027.

Beginning January 1, 2027, ChampCar is reverting back to a calendar-year membership cycle. Every annual membership will run from January 1 through December 31, regardless of when it is purchased.

Currently, a membership remains active for one year from its purchase date. Under the calendar-year system, all memberships will reset and renew on January 1, 2027.

What you need to know:

• The annual membership fee remains $75.

• All 2027 memberships expire December 31, 2027.

• Memberships purchased later in the year will still cost $75.

• There will be no prorated, partial-year, or half-year membership pricing.

We understand that reverting back to the calendar-year system will shorten the current membership period for some members. We are announcing this well in advance so everyone has time to prepare.

Returning to a calendar-year system will provide one clear and consistent membership period that aligns with the ChampCar racing season.

Thank you for being a member and for supporting the ChampCar Endurance Series. We look forward to racing with you in 2027!
