We want to give an update on Kirk. But first, there are hardly words to express our gratitude to our customers for the patience, loyalty and words of support over the last year. As many know, health issues aren't fun, and the pain can make functioning day to day a challenge. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We also want to clear up some misinformation that's been going around. The Tire Store is not in the process of, nor has it been sold. Kirk is still the owner

MRI showed he does not have a tumor. He does have damage to his hypothalamus and pituitary gland as well as scar tissue. They hope it will heal on its own over time but there isn't anything else that can be done other than medication to fix the issues its causing to his endocrine system. Protect your noggin folks

Now for the fun part, Kirk's having surgery. MRI showed he has 2 degenerated discs in his neck and another ruptured disc in his lower back. Its pinching nerves, affecting mobility and causing a lot of pain. He's scheduled for an ACDF surgery for his neck on August 14th. He'll be out from work for 2 weeks after surgery and should be completely healed up and back to full mobility within 6-12 months. He'll have to have another surgery on his lower back in the near future

Last but not least. Next time you're in say hello to our new Tire Technician, Caleb Keefer. Caleb joins us with over 3 years of tire experience. Please give him a warm welcome. We appreciate your further patience while we get Kirk back on his feet, in the meantime Caleb and Bill will continue to make sure customers are taken care of and safe on the road

Update

We are not closed, I have a lot of doctor B S I have to deal with ...
It's a hard transition

I broke my spine in several areas, Im on the mend but it's taking longer than I thought

I’m typically a very private person. But we think it’s time to put this out there in the hopes that people back off a bit

Kirks doctors believe he has a pituitary brain tumor, they’re usually benign but they can cause a whole bunch of issues, physically and mentally. He’s scheduled for an mri to confirm but previous testing is pointing to this being the case. They should have caught this years ago and he’ll probably need surgery

To top it all off, Kirk has been sick since right before we had Kalvin. Started with an ear infection, now bronchitis. And we have a newborn so it’s been a pretty stressful few months, we can’t catch a break. Having people jumping to conclusions and hounding him is making this so much worse. It’s scary and stressful already, please give him grace, back off while we figure this out
