Hard work and enjoying the people you work with don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Around here, we're serious about the work, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy doing it.

Four years at Highland. A lot of responsibility. And a willingness to step in wherever he's needed.

It's why Cody earned a recent promotion to Supervisor.

"Most days I'm just wherever I'm asked to be. Whatever's asked of me, I try to take care of and do my best to get the job done."

That attitude is a big part of what makes the Highland team work.

Help us congratulate Cody on his success!

What some see as byproducts, we see as potential.

Wood byproducts and residuals that might otherwise go unused become something valuable at Highland.

POV: You asked if Highland is a great place to work. 😎

This is where it all begins.

Healthy forests aren't just important to our business, they're essential to our future.

Responsible forest management helps ensure these landscapes remain productive for generations to come.

A great workplace is about more than the work, it’s about the people.

At Highland, we’re proud of a culture that works hard, looks out for one another, and knows there’s always time for a little fun along the way.

A snow cone break on a hot Arkansas summer day might be a small thing, but taking care of the people who keep Highland moving never is.

Excellence isn't an accident.

It's the result of hundreds of people doing their jobs well every day.

Its operators paying attention to the details. Maintenance teams solving problems before they become setbacks. Truck drivers delivering safely and on time. Supervisors leading by example. Team members looking out for one another and taking pride in their work.

The success of Highland isn't built on any one piece of equipment or any single department. It's built on a shared commitment to showing up every day and doing the job the right way.

When hundreds of people bring that mindset to work day after day, excellence becomes more than a goal. It becomes the standard.

Every load that arrives at Highland has a story.

These logs come from working forests across the Southern United States, where landowners, foresters, and logging crews work together to responsibly manage forest resources for the long term.

What arrives at our facility isn't high-value lumber destined for furniture or construction. Much of it comes from thinning operations and other forest management activities that help maintain healthy, productive forests.

For us, these logs represent more than raw material. They represent jobs, stewardship, rural communities, and the first step in a process that creates value from resources that might otherwise go unused.

As Lead Millwright Braden Hunter puts it, ""They took a chance on me and were willing to teach me. I'm forever thankful for that.""

Behind every load, every project, and every improvement is a team of hardworking individuals who bring skill, dedication, and professionalism to work every day.

Highland is built by people, and we're grateful for every one of them.
