We have an immediate opening for an experienced engine machinist.

Experience with the following machines/tasks a huge plus:

Rottler F65 - boring, decking, hoops, lifter bores etc

Sunnen VGS-20 - cylinder head seat and guide work

Sunnen CH-100 - Line hone for engine blocks

Sunnen CV-616 - Cylinder hone for engine blocks

We are a small but rapidly growing high performance engine builder / engine machine shop specializing in GM LS, LT, and SBC with a desire to expand to Coyote and gen 3 Hemi platforms.

Any applicant should have reliable transportation, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.

Pay is based on experience but starting pay will range from $30 to $40 per hour. This is not an entry level position. We may ask for a performance / skills demonstration, so please dont waste our time.

We work 4 ten hour days per week... Monday through Thursday 6am to 5pm. Paid holidays and 1 week paid vacation after one year of employment.

Spent some more time at 3V Performance again this morning with a customers 388 for a little break-in session. 653 hp NA at 8100 rpm for this lower compression turbo spec'd bullet.

No time was really spent fine tuning fuel or spark for max performance on motor, because that doesn't matter. This was done on pump 93 gas, 12.9:1 target afr, and 25 to 26 degrees.

Nice little 388 ready for some dyno time tomorrow. This is a package id like to put on repeat.

Summit Racing / BPE engine block with ARP main studs and 1/2" head stud upgrade. Really nice block!

CID LS7 hydraulic heads done by Hoopers Heads. Ti intake and inconel exhaust valves with a PAC spring package

Texas Speed Titan intake manifold with FIC injectors

Custom JAC camshaft by Cam Motion

Compstar CCW crank, Oliver Speedway Series rods, and Diamond LS2k pistons

This unit is scheduled for Drag & Drive duty and spec'd for 1600 hp!

What a week it has been! In addition to a complete rod and piston LSA engine assembly, finishing up the gen 5 LT4 project, working on two separate turbo drag and drive LS builds (both just waiting on pushrods now, more details to come) we were able to get both of these shortblocks together!!

Iron 6.0 is a 403 cube combo for a turbo utility bed work truck and the Aluminum 6.0 is a rod and dome piston 365 for a G8. One from Northern Illinois, the other from 15 minutes down the road.

We are ao blessed to be this busy. I know many are wondering when we will work on yours. Just know we are going hard. 💪

Always check your rocker arms for wear / damage where the pushrod rides before slapping them back onto your fresh build.

Here's an example of what a bad one looks like compared to a good one.

LT4 ready to go home! Nothing super special about this one... it came to us with some broken pistons and beat up bearings.

We had a nice set of take-out rods and pistons left behind from another LT4, so we installed those along with some fresh GM rings, bearings, a Katech oil pump, LME VVT delete, Tick DOD delete with Johnsons, and a custom JAC/Cam Motion cam package.

Despite building a hand full of these over the years, I never installed new injector seals (customers didnt send their rails), so after a couple youtube videos, one torn up seal, and polishing the inside of the 'seal sizer' from Amazon, we got 'er done. 😂
