🔥 EAST KY TOUGE: Slingshot to the Breaks 2 — Official Event Description

Join us for one of the most scenic and adrenaline‑filled mountain runs in the region!
We’re kicking off at 8:00 AM and carving our way through some of the most iconic roads in Kentucky and Virginia — including the legendary Dragon Slayer section of Black Mountain.

Start Location: O’Reilly’s – Prestonsburg, KY
Start Time/Date: August 23rd 8:00 AM

This full‑day touge adventure will take us across multiple mountain passes, historic towns, and breathtaking overlooks. Whether you’re here for the drive, the views, or the community, this run delivers it all.

🚗 Route Breakdown
- Roll out from Prestonsburg and head toward Whitesburg, KY
- Climb the beautiful Pine Mountain
- Pass through Cumberland and Lynch
- Conquer Black Mountain — Kentucky’s highest point, known as The Dragon Slayer 🐉
- Cross into Virginia and cruise through Appalachia, Big Stone Gap, and Norton
- Cut through the stunning Breaks Interstate Park
- Re‑enter Kentucky via Elkhorn City
- Finish the day in Pikeville with great food and good vibes at Drake’s

🍽️ End‑of‑Day Meetup
After the run, we’ll gather at Drake’s – Pikeville to relax, eat, and hang out with the crew. It’s the perfect way to wrap up an epic day on the mountain roads.

Thanks to everyone who came out and drove with us today. Ill get some video editing going over the next few days. Have a lot to sort through so may take some time. I'll get some shorter clips posted sooner than later. Hope everyone had as great a time as we did! Had a blast and appreciate all the local help on the route. I'll try to not take us up any gravel trails next time 😅. Anyone who took pictures and videos are welcome to post them in comments here.

A little over 12 hours to go until our drive! Hope everyone is as excited as we are! As of now it looks like we'll have 10+ cars going! Throw a picture up of what you're driving an let's peer pressure some friends into tagging along 😅. Everyone have a great night and be safe in the morning! If everyone hadn't noticed, Billy Broughton and his sr20 powered s14 Silvia won the voting for the cover photo. This thing is super clean! We got to check it out at our Cumberland Falls Loop drive last year and it's an amazing car! Hope to get him in on another drive with us soon! If you haven't, check out his Instagram!
