Clearwater Marina

I'm sure that many of you all are aware of the expected rainfall totals for our area this week, mainly from Wed - Sat. Channel 12 is calling for between 8 & 12 inches of rainfall during that 4 day window.

If we do end up with that much, be prepared for not being able to access the marina for a while. Having managed the marina for 15+ years, I feel safe saying that it will be nearly impossible to run a shuttle anytime in April.

Our goal is to have to store open on May 1st but that is even in question should be end up with 12" of rain this week.

Just keeping our stall renters informed with more updates to follow once the rains begin.

The NWS prediction came earlier than channel 12's which shows a lesser amount. I imagine those will update as we progress through the week.

I will start by apologizing for the delay. I have been without power since 10:45 last night and do not own/want a cell phone. It was not restored until 6 this evening. With what I've managed to see in the area, hats off to BREC for restoring things so quickly.

Clearwater Marina did NOT receive any damage with the storm system.

We are keeping our friends at Webb Creek Marina in our prayers as their marina appears to have been destroyed.

As most of you are aware by now, the area is expecting severe weather this evening. My plan is to check for any potential damage in the morning and report back here on our page.

Please be safe regardless of where you are or end up for the evening. This large of an area under a level 4 is pretty rare.

Dee wanted me to reach out and thank those who have mailed in their contracts and payment. Some still have to send in their insurance info.

With 3 days remaining before the due date of 2/28, we are sitting at about 55% of contracts received. If you have not mailed out your contract or notified us of payment arrangements, I would consider adding the 100.00 late fee.

I plan on making myself available at the campground this coming weekend if anyone wants to drop off their contracts.

We are still having phone issues at the marina but I've recently been able to retrieve messages and will resume making callbacks for reservations next week. In the past few weeks, we've dealt with weather and I've had 2 different dental emergencies. Very few reservations are currently in the books so there is no need to worry about getting your date. Thanks for hanging in there and my apologies for the delay.

We are currently sitting at just over 20% of stall renter contracts returned.

To clarify our request to have an updated copy of your insurance each year: That is a mandate from our insurance company.

We have a little over 3 weeks from the due date.

I spoke with Dee this evening regarding where we stood with returned contracts that were mailed out around Christmas.

She wanted me to reach out and thank those of you who have sent them back in and included your checks and insurance information.

We realize the hardship of the weather these past couple of weeks and appreciate those who have sent them back to her. Her goal is to be done with all of it by the due date which is 6 weeks from today.

I plan on posting weekly reminders here on Facebook to help Dee reach that goal.

As of yesterday (11/26), we can once again walk onto the marina. Please use caution while using the main steps. The handrails cannot be placed back onto the dock until the water goes down a little more.

Thank you to all of our stall renters for their patience during the most recent flooding.
