2021 RoadGlide that we performed some minor upgrades on, just before Sturgis 2021. Came in desperately needing a proper tune. Was a brand new bike with a dealer installed stage 4 131”. These kits are the catfish of engine kits. Mid 120’s for hp and mid 130’s for tq. Same results we get out of the stock engines after just a cam swap, pipe, and tune.
With much left to desire out of the SE stage 4 131, the customer approved us to see what we could do with (most of) what was there. Basically make chicken soup out of chicken s… poo. Chicken poo. Main stipulation is that the drivability needed to be smooth for long hauls and daily riding. Stuck with the same throttle body and intake. Made some slight changes to the heads, different cam, and proper lifters. The stock clutch is a joke past 100hp, so we upgraded the primary with our RS High Output Primary Package, featuring the Barnett Scorpion clutch. Swapped out the crooked boat anchor of a swingarm for a work of art from Brock’s Performance. After breaking in the new configuration on the dyno, she laid down a healthy 151hp and 162tq. Sounds mean and the power hits harder than Kimbo Slice.
He’s been beating the snot out of it, like it’s a rental that you actually bought the insurance on. Now with 4000 miles of hard abuse, it’s back for inspection and updates. Still a beast but we want to make sure it stays that way. Just like the clutch, the crank is a joke at these power levels. It’s not a matter of if it will fail, it’s a matter of when. Really curious how far the crank has shifted. Doubt it will be a new high score since it still runs so smooth. After inspection we’ll offer this package as our big torque upgrade to the SE stage 4 131. The big hp version is pretty close for those that love their RPM’s. Low 160s for hp and low 150’s for tq.

Fix your lazy front end geometry with our real performance suspension packages, manufactured by American Suspension. We only offer what we’ve personally tested, use, and believe in. This isn’t Mandy Moe and Jack. We don’t offer good, better, best. Just the absolute best. In this case we removed a good front end and replaced it with the best. Notice how the picture with the inverted front end has the front wheel out there dangling, like a clowns foot. Not ours. Tucked in proper. The wheelbase is actually reduced with fixing the neck rake angle and the appropriate stem offset setting in the tree, we’ve drastically improved how this lazy boy chair carves the corners. The next step above this is properly controlling the oil flow through the lower portion of the suspension. We’ve got proven solutions for that too! Check out our website. We’re actively adding new products that we believe in.

Own or work at a bike shop? Want to offer the solutions we’ve proven, to your customers? No problem. Send us a dealer app, we’ll set you up with the right resources and we’ll back it with free support to our dealers.

Re-building a set of forks, using our Ramsey Speed Stage 1 Upgrade Package, for 2014 to 2023 Touring models. Main focus of this stage 1 is fixing the geometry of the front neck, adding height adjustment, and adding externally adjustable preload. Basically makes it more stable and turn quicker. Tree has adjustable offset from tubes to stem, and the neck cups relocate the bearing positions, de-raking the neck 3 degrees. Pre-load adjusters extend the factory fork tubes, adding 3” of additional length. This package is a complete upgrade to your factory touring front end. It comes with:

American Suspension Preload Adjusters, raw finish
American Suspension Cheater Trees, raw finish
American Suspension Rigid Rise Bolt Kit
American Suspension 3 degree de-raking cups, raw finish
Performance Fork Springs
Bearings & Races
Bushings & Seals
Fork oil

New hard chrome or black DLC fork tubes are available as an option

I’ve always loved ripping around on a dirt bike. Problem is being 6’4”. Even know I’m down to a petite 235 pounds, a CR450 even feels like a pit bike. I’ve wanted a Storz Street Tracker since I was 12. Seen all the recent fun Rusty Butcher is having. Now I’m obsessed. One of the voices keeps chanting “brappp brappp sportster brapp”. So sportster brapp I shall. Repurposed the sporty cafe racer that I was sloooowwwly building. Pulled the single sided swingarm and mono shock that I horse traded Jesse Rooke years ago. Came off one of his Dunlop builds, “Shavonna”. Ditched the chunky Yaffe Hoopla wheels for a proper set of lightweight Fckless race wheels and hubs, manufactured by and some sticky . Tail section from . Tunable high mount stainless race exhaust from . Building out some special long travel suspension. With the current stance, the rear mock-up shocks sit at 16.5”. Comfortably flat footed when I’m sitting on it so I’m contemplating going up closer to 18”…. The mad scientist at sent some fancy billet pieces, giving me more front end travel out of the 49mm forks. (Tech article on that coming soon). Finally own a dirt bike that fits me. This is going to be fun. I’m really looking forward to dialing in this conversion. Anyone else interested in sportster dirt bikes?

On a side note, anyone know what happened to that build of Jesse’s?

One of my top two favorite production V-rod models. This is a 2006 VRSCR with an early production (2006) Sprintex supercharger kit. These kits came with a secondary ECM, controlling a 3rd injector, which were beyond problematic. To put into perspective of just how problematic they were, this bike has less than 1000miles on it…. I’ve always liked my v-rods. Especially with forced induction. Couldn’t say no when asked me to rework the fuel management and make it run like it should.
First thing we did was ditch the factory ECM and secondary ECM for a ThunderMax ECM and 2-bar map sensor. Stabilized the fuel flow using a fuel pressure regulator with a boost reference. Built a harness to control the electric water pump. First thought was to just change the efi bits, nothing more. Essentially make it a simple upgrade for the kits current kits on the market. Made a huge difference but not enough. Drivability and throttle response is still not as good as I would expect. After inspecting deepo, it’s obvious these supercharger kits were far from production ready. The diverter valve design seems to be the cause of a lot of the problems. Next on the list is resolving the mechanical issues and inconsistencies of the kit. Stay tuned to see what we change and why.

Wishing safe travels to He’s riding his turbo Dyna home, from Arizona to New Jersey! It came in with a stock 103 and the turbo kit that he made. He did a great job on the kit, but the bike was way underpowered. Turned out the engine was DONE. Had almost as much oil in the bottom end as it did in the oil tank. For those that don’t know, the crankcase should not have more than 3 ounces of oil. That’s why they call them dry sump engines. When a dry sump engine wet sumps, the oil builds up in the bottom end and drags down the performance. Like trying to run through a swamp. The solution we agreed upon was our RS124-F1 crate engine and one of our high output primary packages, using a Barnett Scorpion clutch. Our RS124-F1 engines are built off of S&S’s platform, but are upgraded to handle boost. They come with either chrome or gloss black engine covers. For Eric’s we went with the chrome covers that I gave a “brushed” finish. It’s a bit of labor, but it’s worth it.

I’ve literally been kicking down walls, expanding our engine and suspension room. Also building out a recording room. We’ll be recording technical support, installation, and “how to” videos, for our products, the manufacturers we distribute products for, and our sponsors. Some of those manufacturers are, but are not limited to, ThunderMax EFI American Suspension Barnett Clutches and Cables and ProCharger Superchargers

The motorcycle shown in the “studio” is Dave’s 2015 Street Bob. It features the American Suspension Mach7R fork legs, a Ramsey Speed tuned ThunderMax ECM, our Speed Demon bars and seat. All available at RamseySpeed.com

Pretty impressive for a bone stock Harley, with the factory programming. 120.85hp and 92.81tq. As far as the quality of the factory programming, it’s on the raw side of cooked. Not as smooth as I expect for a “finished” product. It also pings pretty bad from 7300rpm and up, to the point where I actually let out of the throttle before hitting the rev-limiter. I definitely see a lot of potential and so many possibilities for upgrades. I’m excitedly see what we can get out of these.

2021 Sportster S and ol’ dusty, mean mugging each other in the showroom. So far pretty impressed for a stock Harley. Really excited about all the new tech. I’ve heard some optimistic numbers for power on these new sportsters. About to run it on our chassis dyno. How much horsepower and torque do you think it will register? Closest guess gets a free t-shirt. I’ll even send a fresh one. No pit stains.
