Fall is the right time to think about your vehicle's fluids. Here's what to check and why. 💧🔧

As temperatures drop, fluids that were fine in summer heat behave differently. Coolant (antifreeze) prevents freezing and overheating. Make sure it's at the proper concentration. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time and should be inspected annually. Power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid (switch to a freeze-resistant formula!) are also worth reviewing before winter arrives.

Here's a fall car fact that surprises most drivers: your tire pressure drops every time the temperature does. 🌡️🛞

For every 10°F drop in outside temperature, your tires lose approximately 1 PSI of pressure. As fall sets in, tires that were fine all summer may trigger that TPMS warning light. Check all four tires (and your spare) monthly as temps fluctuate, and keep them at the manufacturer-recommended PSI found on the sticker inside your driver's door.
