Well, here’s the second 12 V air conditioner. I installed this year fellow humans. I Had to remove the old Dometic,Cool Cat air conditioner that functions just doesn’t cool well enough for the customers liking. once once we get this routed and mounted going and install a quick connect port underneath to plug up the hall so we don’t have any water coming in and so we can hook up a solar panel so we can charge the batteries. All done and good now I’m gonna go home lay on the floor in front of my swamp cooler and take a nap.

Afternoon fellow humans there’s a job I took a little out of me. This roof was due for a reseal I would say. Had a scrape remove all the old dry, crusty barnacles go back, clean the surfaces up and then reseal the whole roof. The owner is ready for the upcoming monsoon storms. Good evening, fellow humans, little tired today. This customer wanted to add a second air conditioner, but his coach was only a 30 amp service. So he decided he would go with a 12 V DC air conditioner. Told him I’ve never installed one put it something I can get done for you. So we’ll rip out the back vent run the wire a harness across the roof. Find that the harness was a little short so I need to extend the harness. Air conditioner comes with pre-wire eight gauge wire. It’s only 15 feet long. I needed another 12 so we used two gauge from the batteries to some remote post behind the wall to extend the harness out and not worry about over amperage seeing how this air conditioner has 100 amp fuse. Once I got this bad boy installed I ran this thing for a good hour and a half while I swapped out a roof air conditioner from a 13.5 Btu to a 15k Btu on the same unit and installed a Max Air vent in bathroom. Needless to say, I think this customer is ready for the nice hot summer coming up. I have also asked to have him keep me in touch on how that air conditioner works cause I have a feeling there will be several people reaching out after this post.

Good afternoon humans, when you put 6+ hours of installing the solar and an inverter and when you get right down to the last part of it to test to make sure everything‘s working you find out the internal transfer relay in this Inverter is bad so you have to start a claim knowing you’re gonna have to come back and finish this job but also done at least I don’t have to run wires anymore. It’ll just be swap out the bad component. I hope everybody’s Friday is going better than mine.

Well, today’s project is quite an adventure. This owner purchased an air conditioner. It was supposed to be plugged in play from the penguin two to Dometic‘s brand new fresh Jet system on the customer hooked it up. Nothing would work, and none of the connections were the same. So he contacted me and I showed up and contacted Dometic. Found that if you have a third-party thermostat like this precision temp system that I’m going to have to remove the entire wiring hardness from the old air conditioner and install into the new air conditioner with the old capacitors. Note for all of you to medic will warranty this swap. But just know I heard it’s going to be quite an additional charge in labor to do all of this. Spent three hours on the phone with the medic emails pictures. text messages to finally get this figured out.

Afternoon my humans of the planet earths. This customer‘s kitchen slide out, made a terrible grinding noise while extending so the motor is bad. Do a little research and find theirs and update kit that I have to do to both motors and not just one. So let me remove both the right hand slide and left-hand slide mechanisms remove the motors drilled this magic hole insert a bushing and install this upgraded motor. Once assembled everything needs to be reinstalled. Including all the kitchen cabinets doors I had to remove to gain access . The owner should be ready to enjoy his up-and-coming camping season without any slide out issues.

This one was fun, what we have here is a broken fitting into the holding tank also a cracked fl**ge or the toilet attaches to. So we’re gonna have to break out the old fitting and get a rubber slip coupler to put in the tank seal that up add a new closet fl**ge to the floor, reinstall the toilet and then while I’m there replace the leaking water valve. Test all operations to make sure there are no further leak and allow this customer to enjoy the rest of their rodeo trips scheduled up for the year.
