Your vehicle’s thermostat is basically a gatekeeper for the cooling system. When it wears out, it usually gets stuck in one of two ways:

🔒 Stuck Shut: Coolant can’t flow to the radiator at all. This causes engine temps to spike rapidly into the red zone (especially in traffic) putting you at risk for severe overheating.

🔓 Stuck Open: Coolant flows constantly without stopping. The engine struggles to reach its proper operating temperature, leading to poor fuel efficiency, weak cabin heat in winter, and an unexpected Check Engine Light.

These brand-new OEM coolant and heater hoses are about to become some of the hardest-working parts under the hood of this Ford F-150. They may not be the flashiest components, but they play a big role in keeping everything cool.

Out with the old, in with the leak-free new 🌡️💧

When an engine thermostat housing develops a hairline crack or the internal thermostat fails, replacing the entire assembly is usually the best move to keep your cooling system sealed tight.

In the heat we deal with out here, keeping coolant flowing exactly where it needs to go is the difference between a smooth drive and sitting on the side of the road with a steam show 🚗💨

Precision matters when it comes to stopping power 🛑⚡

That tool attached to the hub is an on-car brake lathe, which lets us resurface the rotor directly on the vehicle for a perfectly smooth finish.

This is also a big reason why giving exact brake quotes over the phone is so tough. Until we actually get the vehicle up on the lift and pull the wheels, there's no way to know if those rotors just need resurfacing, if they've worn too thin and need to be replaced, or if something else in the assembly is going on.
