When it comes to new engineering vs old what’s your take? Do you prefer working on older cars or newer cars?! Jim Ketterer one of our techs Jimmy G's Automotive prefers the older cars. Jim is a big part of our team that brings almost 40 years of experience! Jim is someone we can always rely on and very hardworking! We appreciate having someone like Jim in the family and we wouldn’t be the same without him! Love my boy Jim but I would disagree that AI will take over. Maybe my kids kids. Team Work Makes The Dream Work! In most auto shop environments the labor force is for themselves individually because the way the pay is structured. Each tech is basically on a “flat rate/commission.” Meaning they only get paid when diagnostics and repairs are sold to the customer. This can create a toxic competitive environment in most cases in my opinion. Also on the flip side can be great for the business pushing the techs to push work, be efficient, etc. this is just MY OPINION & WHAT WORKS FOR US! In our environment we pay each and every one a comfortable salary so they do not have to fight each other for racks and wonder what tech is doing what comparative to the type of work they’re getting and or not getting. In my opinion the best way because everyone is down to help one another in difficult situations! It’s a beautiful thing! Love my team! Jimmy G's Automotive

POV just another day we struggle with limited space at times but this why I’ll forever take care of mine because my boys just pack this place like sardines and figure it out while never complaining. It’s a beautiful thing. They also know I am exactly who I say I am and the relationship is strong as is ours, I don’t even need to tell them I’ll take care of them, I just do because they deserve it and it’s the right thing to do! We are nothing without them! Love yall 🤞🏻BEST TEAM IN THE GAME!!

Quality control for oil leak repair. Oil pan assembly replacement. Did the rear main and sealed the pan already. Leaked again from the pan. Pulled pan and inspected pan. Had a hairline crack in it so I gave the customer a free pan due to the money already spent on previous repairs. Wasn’t something we caused, this thing was a mess before and FOR CERTAIN pulled inspection cover and rear main was not happy… but it is the right thing to do! Wanted to let the pan cure overnight then run it first thing this morning to see how she did!! It was money 👌🏻 it’s easy to get the stuff done, ship it and take the money. But if you care about doing it right the first time always check your work. There will STILL be times things happen that are unseen or predictable but we can always do our best in trying to back check ourselves for quality! Craziest part of all this, we checked it after the rear main and test drive. Was dry!!!However, the crack in the pan was so minor it would take about 100 miles for it to show its face 🤯. All good, she’s all sealed up now and customer happy!
