Several years ago I acquired a couple old travel trailers from a job I was on and spent considerable time figuring out how all the systems and appliances work. Rv's intrigued me because they are just little tiny homes on wheels with everything you need to cook, eat, sleep, stay warm or cool, and bathroom facilities. I started looking for cheap or free neglected and unwanted rv's, mostly camping style travel trailers. Mostly in a quest to find one i could fix up to use for my family to go camping. And I discovered 1 thing. These recreational vehicles often become cost prohibitive for most people to get repaired as these types of vehicles can be very time consuming and expensive to fix, repair and maintain.. Especially for older ones as the appliances and fixtures are not readily available and many have structural deterioration from water leaks or just age. Also due to all the different systems in rv's, both 120 volt and 12 volt electrical, several different materials used in plumbing piping, propane gas lines, and fresh water storage and waste water storage tanks and the associated valves and pipes there is much skill required to service rv's. Throw into that other skills needed such as carpentry, roofing, sheet metal fabricating, painting, flooring all of which are typically structured differently than that which you would find in standard home construction. I plan to post some of my projects on here in the future as well as the adventures that have resulted. If you have an old rv that you no longer need or want i am happy to visit with you about it and we can discuss a plan. I offer a free removal for those rv's that are not saleable as is but of course i know that many still have a value and i am happy to pay for those that are in better condition if it is within my budget in consideration of the costs involved to haul away.. I also hope to establish a non profit in the future so donors can at least get a tax benefit.
Thank you all for your support
