Some builds aren’t about starting from scratch. They’re about preserving what makes a bike special while bringing it back to life.

This is Cole Trask’s 1991 FXR, a bike he picked up from Paul Yaffe Originals two years ago. Finished in a rare 1-of-9 paint scheme, it’s always been a bike he’s been proud to own.

Over the last month, Cole has been quietly going through it piece by piece, replacing tired components with fresh chrome and bringing the bike back to the standard he had in mind. Nothing flashy. Just a lot of attention to detail.

If you know Cole, you know he’s particular about style. Every part has a purpose, every finish has to be right, and every detail matters. We think this bike couldn’t represent him any better.

The best part? In just a few weeks, this FXR will be pointed toward Sturgis, where Cole will be riding alongside his brother, Holden, on his ’93 FXR, and his dad, Nick. Two generations of Trasks, three FXRs, and thousands of miles ahead.

Gen 2 ThunderMax EFI update 🏁

Turbo bikes love boost, and the less time you spend off the throttle, the better.

The new clutchless shifting update lets you bang through the gears without rolling out of the throttle, keeping the turbo lit and minimizing boost loss between shifts. That means harder acceleration, smoother power delivery, and more time where the bike is making peak horsepower.

On a 165 HP street bike you’ll feel it. On a 200+ HP build, it becomes a game changer.

Jess from The Speed Merchant rode all the way from Central California to Phoenix to give his 2026 Street Glide the full Trask treatment.

We started with a completely stock baseline of 98 horsepower. From there we installed our flagship Assassin Turbo System, an S&S Cycle - Motorcycle Parts 475 cam, and dialed everything in with a ThunderMax EFI ECM.

The result?

165 HP
167 TQ
8 PSI

That’s a gain of 67 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque, all while maintaining a reliable, rideable package built to rack up miles.

Last year’s Hot Bike Magazine Tour was one for the books.

Five days. Epic roads. Countless miles. Plenty of pit stops. Even better company.

It’s always good catching up with friends we only get to see a few times a year, sharing stories, checking out everyone’s latest builds, and spending all day doing what we love… riding.

This year we’re doing it all again.

As you guys know, we’ve been doing free turbo installs in Sturgis for years.

In the past, we’ve uploaded proven tune files to ThunderMax ECMs, which has never let us down. We have a massive library of tune files from real bikes, real setups, and years of tuning every combination we can get our hands on.

That being said, we heard the feedback. Some guys wanted more than a file loaded and a handshake, so we went out and purchased a full dyno trailer.

This year at Exit 55 / Black Hills HD, we will be dyno tuning all turbo installs, as well as offering tuning for N/A bikes.

We will also be tuning IWS bikes upon request.

Free turbo installs. On-site dyno tuning. Same Trask support, just taken up another level.
