Someway, somehow this Lexus got attacked by harsh water, whether it was a sprinkler or wild Mother Nature chemical deposits were left on our beloved Sallyā€™s Lexus! She called me as soon as she got home from her trip, because she knew a simple wash wasnā€™t going to fix this! I chemically treated the spots then polished off the remainder and recoated the areas that needed it!

This 4Runner was ceramic coated by me two years ago. Unfortunately, this awesome couple found one of those ā€œlooks like we can fitā€ back roadsā€¦ spoiler alert: they didnā€™t. šŸ˜‚šŸŒ²

The Oregon pinstriping was real, and it definitely left its mark.

I performed a full paint correction to remove the brush scratches and then reapplied the ceramic coating. Iā€™ll be honestā€”I wasnā€™t convinced it was going to come back this good.

I truly believe the ceramic coating helped save the paint. Instead of those branches digging directly into unprotected clear coat, the coating took a lot of the abuse. Itā€™s a perfect example of why I recommend ceramic coatings beyond just gloss and ease of maintenanceā€”they add a sacrificial layer of protection for situations exactly like this.

Hugest shout out to my go to Electricians at Powerhouse Electric for wiring up my mini split and then helping me trouble shoot a few things, itā€™s miserable outside and typically my shop would be at least 90 degrees right now. But instead Iā€™m sitting at a very comfortable 73 right now! First time ever having AC in my shop! Now I donā€™t have to juggle when I can correct paint or ceramic coat or have a heat stroke being inside a hot car to bust out an interior job!!! Iā€™ll now get to have mid 70s all year around! So blessed!!!!

Welp, Waylon and I are smoked. 10 events for Graffiti 2026 under his belt, 340 miles driven, 2 1/2 tanks of gas, blew one radiator hose, found a new power steering fluid leak, rubber burnt to the exhaust and 78 hours all together spent at events and cruising Harvard. . Won A First place trophy and a huge tool box. Made many memories and already thinking about next year. Congratulations to all the groups and organizations that spend all year making this week possible. Another VERY large thank you to everyone who helped at our Detailerā€™s park n shine event. Vacation is over, back to work tomorrow šŸ˜‚šŸ˜…
