Our 1971 Camaro competed in the Mid Muscle class this past weekend at King of the Mountain, presented by Summit Racing Equipment! Throughout the first and second days of qualifying, the car performed flawlessly and handled just as well, thanks to the upgraded UMI Performance parts installed on it!

A huge congratulations to driver Brian Peters, an eight-time SCCA National Champion, who took charge of driving the Camaro all weekend and pushed the car to its limits! Brian made it to the third round of the shootout and finished second—what an accomplishment. His time of 54.712 seconds earned him second place in the Mid Muscle class, presented by Elkhart Performance Engine and Chassis!

What a weekend of racing! Once again, our suspension proved how well it performs and how capable it is, no matter what you throw at it!

This year’s King of the Mountain, presented by Summit Racing Equipment, is our largest one yet, with a $25,000 purse, and we have two UMI Equipped cars leading the Mid Class, presented by Elkhart Performance Engine and Chassis!

Mike Casino is leading the Mid Class and qualified P1 in his 1988 Monte Carlo SS. Right behind him in P2 is Brian Peters, who is driving our 1971 Camaro! Having UMI Equipped cars lead their class is not only exciting but also a true testament to what our suspension is capable of doing!

If you want to see these UMI Equipped cars in action, TOMORROW is the Turn One Shootout, where 48 of the fastest cars battle it out on track for the prestigious title of “King”! You can buy tickets online or at the gate!
