NEW HO Scale Train Releases! – Bachmann 0-6-0 and 2-6-2 Locomotives – Available Now!

USRA 0-6-0 w/ Smoke & Vanderbilt Tender - Southern Pacific™ #1237 ( #50710)
USRA 0-6-0 w/ Smoke & Vanderbilt Tender - Union Pacific® #4436 ( #50717)
With production beginning in 1918, the USRA 0-6-0 was one of a selection of locomotives designed by the United States Railroad Administration during the brief period in World War 1 when the US rail network was nationalized under government ownership. Classified as a light switcher, the type saw widespread success in both light freight and yard duties, and many railroads went on to run these plucky workhorses for several decades, once the rail system was turned back to the original operators.

2-6-2 Prairie - Union Pacific® #1826 ( #51514)
In the early 1900s, 2-6-2 locomotives were developed for use on the prairies of the American Midwest, earning them the nickname "Prairies." These locomotives often outlasted their more modern and efficient counterparts in branchline operations, thanks to their relatively light weight, ability to operate effectively in reverse, and capable speed range.

Features Include: Electrically isolated motor for DCC decoder installation; Precision motor; Completely hidden drivetrain; Operating puffing smoke unit (non-toxic smoke fluid included); Operating headlight; Separately applied metal handrails; Highly detailed painted bodies with precision graphics; Die-cast chassis; Operating see-through drive wheels with spokes; Metal siderods; Blackened metal wheels with RP25 contours on locomotive; Wire-free drawbar connection between locomotive and tender; and Magnetically operated E-Z Mate® Mark II coupler on the rear of the tender. Performs best on 18" radius curves or greater.

NEW Slot Car Releases! – AFX Racing 1970 Chevelle LS6 SS454 and 1970 Mustang Boss 429 Mega G+ HO scale Slot Cars – Available Now!

Two new AFX slot cars available this month:

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 – Black with White Stripes ( #22118):
This Chevelle represents the rare balance of brutal performance, unmistakable styling, and street-going usability. It is not merely a race-inspired machine—it is a street-legal legend built to be seen, heard, and remembered.

1970 Mustang Boss 429 – Pastel Blue ( #22133):
The Mustang Boss 429 began its brief run during Ford’s pursuit of a car that could compete with Chrysler and GM during what some have deemed the “Horsepower Wars.” NASCAR rules decreed that any contending engine had to be in at least 500 cars produced for public purchase. Putting a 429-cubic-inch semi-hemispherical V8 engine for NASCAR competition into the engine compartment of a Mustang was quite a challenge. It simply did not fit. Ford outsourced the job to Car Kraft.

Both slot cars are mounted on the Mega G+ 1.7” long wheelbase chassis. The Mega-G+ is easily the lightest chassis you can buy. Add that to the lowest center of gravity and you get a car that is fast and nimble. Most realistic. Best Performance. Fun to drive. What a combination!

NEW Car Model Kit Release! – Atlantis Models 1/25 scale Tommy Ivo 4-Engine Showboat Dragster ( ) – Available Now!

Tommy Ivo, veteran drag racer and creator of several 'wild' machines, is credited with being the first to break the nine second mark for the quarter mile. The most spectacular of all his creations was the "Showboat", a fiery red and gleaming chrome machine powered by four Hillborn injected Buick V-8 engines. This dragster was unique, not only for its beauty of workmanship and construction, but because of its impressive specifications. It produced a total of 1,720 horsepower from its four 454 cubic inch Buick V-8's. Despite tremendous weight, (3,555 pounds) it attained a speed of 195 mph and a time of 8.12 seconds for the quarter mile. Unfortunately, the NHRA ruled it the first "exhibition" dragster, and he was unable to race it in competitions.

This kit comes from the original Revell tooling from the early 1960s. This kit of 206 parts is molded in white with chrome plated parts. Includes metal axles and four rubber slick tires, and waterslide decal sheet. This is a plastic model kit to be assembled following the detailed instructions and does not include glue or paints.
