Goodchilds Auto Repair

Goodchilds Auto Repair One stop shop for all mechanical and collision needs! There's nothing simple about fixing today's vehicles. Our technicians take pride in their work.

GoodChild's Repair Center is known for its quality craftsmanship and "better-than-the-factory" collision repair. From a small ding to a major collision, you'll leave with a high quality precision repair, and with the written assurances that it was done right. They are complex, and come with non-symmetrical designs, sophisticated suspensions, brittle high strength alloys, robot-precise assembly and

with two-three and even four part paint schemes. Manufacturers are creating a new generation of more fuel efficient vehicles. They are converting to "unibody" construction with front wheel drive and on board computers to make the vehicles safer. The GoodChild's Repair Center center has invested in the training and technology to keep up with these rapidly changing trends so we can guarantee that your vehicle will receive a safe, quality repair. Our repair center is bonded, qualified and I-CAR Gold certified. We have the latest state-of-the-art technologies: high tech measuring equipment, modern frame machines, MIG welders and down draft paint booths. Our center is in tune with the environment for safe and correct handling of hazardous waste, recycling, air quality and right-to-know compliance. With our direct links to General Motors, Ford, Chrysler and many European and Japanese manufacturers we are kept abreast with all factory bulletins and warranties, and can call on their engineers for assistance if needed. Plus, we recommend genuine factory parts and use them unless requested not to. So for the safe, quality repair you deserve, come by or give us a call. We'll give you a free estimate. And if your insurance company has already given you an estimate, we'll gladly repair your vehicle based on their estimate. We work with insurance carriers throughout the state. We know them, and if for some reason needed repairs were undetected and not included on their estimate, we can negotiate the repairs with them on your behalf. From the initial search for damage to the final inspection, each vehicle reflects the quality of our craftsmanship. We're proud of our long history of quality collision repair and our long list of satisfied customers.

If your gas-powered vehicle’s acceleration has gone from “zoom, zoom” to “putt, putt,” there’s probably a spark plug problem.

Poor fuel economy is another indication the plugs or spark plug wires likely need replacing. Although modern spark plugs last considerably longer than those produced 30 years ago, they don’t last forever and need to be replaced at regular intervals. It’s best to check the owner’s manual.

Find out what spark plugs do, the types you can purchase, and what signs to look for that signal when they need to be replaced.

The air filter is an important part of the engine because it helps the engine to breathe clean air, and clean air is important because it helps the engine to run efficiently and properly. Usually, air filters are replaced on every service. Still, sometimes if the car is being heavily used under dusty conditions like construction sites or heavy traffic areas, then the air filter can get clogged up much faster. Because of this, you would have to replace the air filter sooner than usual.

The air filter is an integral part of the engine as it helps it to breathe. Today we list down signs that your air filter might not be in proper condition.

With the exception of electric vehicles, all other cars (including your hybrid) have an oil filter. Regarding routine maintenance, the engine oil and oil filter are items that need to be replaced more often than anything else on the vehicle. Yes, even your tires. There has always been a debate as to how often this is necessary, and there always will be a debate because, well, it depends.

There has always been a debate as to how often an oil filter change is necessary, and there always will be a debate because, well, it depends. A general rule of thumb is 5,000 miles between oil changes but this will vary based on vehicle age, usage, and manufacturer requirements.
