Congratulations to Susan Harp from Avon Lake, Ohio, for taking Best of Show in the Ohio Junior Duck Stamp Contest with her piece titled "The Brilliant Calm of Fall." Susan created this realistic style piece of a Northern Pintail using acrylic paints and several references, one of which was a photo taken on the refuge by our volunteer photographer, Tony Everhardt. Susan is in 11th grade and attends the Montague Academy of the Fine Arts. Her piece will go on to the National Junior Duck Stamp Contest held on April 21, 2023, at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Conservation Training Center in West Virginia.
