Week 1 of new Parking restriction for Eagles home games is over and here are my thoughts.
1. We left home at 7am and arrived just before 8am.
2. The line to get in was non existent and we got in no problem.
3. We paid, unwillingly, the $200 for Oversized. yea I get it!
4. We were directed to the D Lot, which is where we normally park anyway.
5. Again we were directed to our parking space of 4 spots.
6. Our parking attendant had us parking the wrong way and we needed to adjust.
7. After settling in we were fine.
Parking was smooth and acceptable for the most part. My guess is the rain deterred a lot of protentional tailgaters. I think if weather was better there would have been more of us. I also spoke with a few people who did not head up with their RV since the parking situation was different and unsure of what would happen.
The D Lot never did completely fill up and by game time and they started letting in cars into the "Oversized" Lot.
Exiting the Lot after the game was no different still took a bit.
Some side notes, They filled the D lot from the Back side(closest to 95) and then left to right. So the early risers did not get the best spots.
I did see a lot more people lugging around cases of b**r and other goods around the parking lot since they could not bring in their car. On the good side there was no more traffic driving though the rows searching for that 1 last random spot.
I did speak with Big Carm who is the guy heading the tailgate alliance and he stated he will have another meeting with the parking folks on Wednesday.
We shall see how things are for the Carolina game and then even more telling will be the Monday Night Cowboy game.
Lets hope Coach gets this Offense straightened out by then! !
