Our hearts are with the family and loved ones affected by yesterday’s heartbreaking tragedy.

Carbon monoxide is colorless, odorless, and can be very deadly if it enters a vehicle’s cabin. Our owner of 25 years, exhaust specialist Matt Vermilyea spoke with the local news yesterday about carbon monoxide safety and ways drivers can protect themselves and their families.

If you have an exhaust leak in your vehicle, don’t wait before it’s too late. If you ever notice an exhaust smell inside your vehicle, experience unusual headaches or dizziness while driving, or suspect an exhaust issue, have your vehicle inspected as soon as possible.

Auto experts say dizziness, headaches and exhaust odors can signal dangerous carbon monoxide exposure inside a vehicle after Wednesday's Toledo incident.

UPDATE: Power has been restored! Thank you to the Toledo Edison crew for their hard work to get us back up and running!

Heads up, Econo Auto is without power! While our electrical/wiring guy can diagnose a CAN bus issue in 10 minutes, “power line technician” isn’t on his résumé.

Phones and updates may be a little slow until the power comes back on⚡️

If you are driving by on Route 20, please be cautious while the Toledo Edison crews handle the situation. Stay safe and enjoy the day!
