**A Difficult Announcement About Detail Addicts**
This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write.
Detail Addicts will officially close its doors for good at 11:59 p.m. on October 31, 2026.
When I started this company, I made a promise to our customers: as long as there was demand for our products, we would do whatever it took to keep making them and bringing them to market. I meant that promise with all my heart, and it has weighed heavily on me while making this decision.
Unfortunately, COVID marked the beginning of a decline in sales that we were never able to reverse. We tried for several years to recover. We made adjustments, developed products, changed our plans, brought in new people and explored just about every idea we could think of. I even tried things I did not believe would work because others believed they might. I was willing to try anything that could give Detail Addicts another chance.
But without stable and consistent sales—and with too many of our sales depending on heavy discounts—the numbers simply stopped working. Debt continued to build while the company’s reserves were drained to their lowest level in years, with no realistic way to replenish them.
Because of that, I have had to make the painful decision to close the business.
This is not a decision I take lightly, and it certainly does not bring me any happiness. Detail Addicts was never just a way to sell detailing products. It was a vision I truly believed in and a promise to provide our friends, customers and colleagues throughout the detailing industry with products we could be proud of.
To everyone who purchased one of our products, recommended us, shared our posts, supported the company or believed in what we were trying to build: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support meant more to me than I could ever properly put into words.
I am sorry that I was not able to turn the vision we shared into the lasting company I hoped Detail Addicts would become. But I can walk away with a clear conscience knowing that I genuinely tried everything I could think of—and even some things I never would have considered on my own—to save it.
Sometimes, despite how hard you work or how badly you want something to succeed, it simply is not in the cards you were dealt.
Thank you for allowing Detail Addicts to be part of your lives, your businesses and your passion for detailing. I will always be grateful for the time you gave us and for every person who stood beside us along the way.
