This morning, Jud gave the message at both memorial services for the Backus Legion. He has been a member of the SAL for over 5 years and has been helping with these services every year. Usually as the sound/music guy. But this year he was asked to speak, and was honored to be able to remember with his community in this way.

We want to say thank you to our local firefighters for their extremely hard work! Tena's Husband, our neighbor Trevor Crow Wing Auto Body, and many other friends and clients have been working hard to put out the Flanders fire.

Be sure to check in with Lakes Area Heroes and the Crow Wing County Sheriff for ways to help.

Some reminders, dragging chains from your trailers can start fires, so can flats on steel wheels. Be a good neighbor and let's do all we can to reduce the risk of wildfires!

If you'd allow us to soapbox a bit.

Congress is going to be voting on a bill to firm up our Right to Repair.

What does this mean? You, as a vehicle owner, should be allowed to take your vehicle wherever you wish to have repairs.
Us, as a repair facility, should be able to access information to repair your vehicles.

The dealer should of course be able to repair their vehicles, but there are too many of them to fix in a reasonable time. That and they are able to do poorer quality work since they will hold the market. This is where we come in. With Right to Repair we are able to serve you and your vehicle needs with a better timeline and quality service.

Please fill out the form and send it to your legislators!

Also, even if we are not your shop, send the info to the mechanic you trust!

This client had a charging system concern. The vehicle was towed and we started it for maybe 30 seconds and this was the temperature of the alternator! Safe to say the alternator had failed, thankfully the vehicle was shut off quickly after the owner noticed the battery light. This could have caused a fire.
