Long read..... Time to call it for tonight.... I have 10 hours invested into just the interior of this vehicle and I still have some finishing work to do. But that can happen tomorrow morning as 6am comes pretty quickly!
I am going to take a moment though and try to really drive this home. I detail because for whatever reason, I love doing it. For everyone out there, that old saying is very very true. If you are able to do something you love, it is not a job! For myself.... It is a challenge.
The challenge is simple. Work hard. Provide amazing results. Repeat. No amount of money can ever replace the amount of satisfaction you get when a customer tells you their vehicle is the same or better than the day they bought it. Just happened again today and I am beyond grateful. Hell, I just had a customer this weekend come and buy, although I tried to give it to them, the interior cleaner I use. Along with proper instruction. That is a story within itself....but then again, it was not for a pastel yellow Ford Focus....;)
Back to point. I do not believe that the service I provide should cost you $300, $400, or God knows what. This does not include paint correction or ceramic coatings..... just your average detail. Take the time to look up the national average for product costs for an average detail. $10-$25 dollars per vehicle.
Here is what truly grinds my gears.....in this area, the big name detailers are going to discredit me. I either don't know what I am doing or use cheap product. For the record, everything I use is between $45-100 per gallon.
The best part though is you can take the most expensive brand, extremely priced, and there is literally a YouTube video of how to make that same product from under your sink.... let that sink in. We all use products that work for us. And that formula is ever changing. I do love the hate though. I am willing to bet that I am 3 digits cheaper on this Ram detail. I would project half if not better. Here is an early teaser though.
