🔥 Changed the thermostat. Bled the cooling system. STILL overheating.

This modified 2001 Acura Integra GSR with a B20 block and B18 head kept overheating no matter what the customer tried.

After diagnostics, Jay found the real problem: the water pump wasn’t circulating enough coolant to keep the engine at proper operating temperature.

🔧 Water pump replaced—and the overheating issue was addressed.

Modified or stock, diagnosis comes before throwing more parts at the problem.

🚨 “Spongy brakes” turned into THIS…

This Dodge Durango came to JLC Mobile Mechanic for spongy brakes and a brake pad/rotor replacement.

Once Jay started taking everything apart, he found the rear left caliper piston had completely pushed out—and the brake pads were already metal-on-metal with the rotor. 😳

🚨 Parts were replaced…but the REAL problem was still there.

This 1972 Chevy Caprice with a 350 CI was sputtering and shutting off whenever the customer gave it full throttle. A previous mechanic had already replaced the fuel pump and the carburetor fuel filter.

When Jay inspected it, he found something much more concerning: the fuel line was leaking at the carburetor directly onto the hot engine AND leaking at the fuel pump. ⛽🔥

🔧 Jay replaced the fuel line using the proper fittings and 3/8” fuel hose.

The result? No more leaks. No more sputtering or cutting off. The Caprice is running good again.

Another reason why proper diagnosis matters before replacing parts.

🦋 Sometimes you have to stop working for a second and appreciate where you are.

One of the things I enjoy about being a mobile mechanic around Pensacola is getting to work outside—and every now and then, nature comes to check on the repair too. 😂

While replacing a radiator fan, this little butterfly landed right on it, then moved over to the truck and hung around while I finished the job.

Just an appreciation post for Pensacola, the outdoors, and the nature we still get to enjoy here. 🌿

🚨 OVERHEATING within 10–15 minutes of driving?!

This 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 was overheating shortly after hitting the road. During inspection, Jay found a large crack in the radiator that was dumping coolant onto the ground.

🔧 The fix: radiator replacement.

If your vehicle is overheating or rapidly losing coolant, don’t keep driving it. Get the cooling system checked before you risk more expensive engine damage.

🚨 Told it was a HEAD GASKET… but was it?

This 2005 Nissan 350Z was constantly overheating, and the customer had been told the problem was the head gasket.

After JLC diagnosed the vehicle, Jay found a cracked thermostat contributing to the overheating. 🔧 The repair included a thermostat and radiator replacement.

This is why we say: DIAGNOSE before you repair. A proper diagnosis can save you from paying for repairs you may not need.

💨 Air blowing in the back…but NOTHING up front?

That was the problem with this 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. The rear air was working, but the customer had no airflow from the front vents.

🔧 The repair: front blower motor replacement.

If your A/C or heat is on but you’re getting little to no airflow from the vents, it’s time to get it checked.
