Today we celebrate the life of Chad Wall. (center) Chad left an indelible mark on Blue Ox as Creative Manager. Chad's heart was as big as his book collection, and it easily melted for his love of rescue dogs, especially his longtime best friend Ed.
He loved art in all its forms, the Berlin Philharmonic, Jackson Po***ck, MAD Magazine, the Criterion Collection, LEGO, David Hockney, KAWS, a perfectly chosen throw pillow, classic preppy style, and American-made cars, particularly a well-loved Cadillac. He studied photography, furniture, personal style, and objects with genuine delight, and his taste was both wide-ranging and exacting, almost always with a touch of humor.
Chad's career reflected his lifelong passion for stories, art, imagery, and design. If you asked him, he'd tell us not to get sentimental about it, but we're doing it anyway. Chad had a gift for the last word. We won't try to top it.
