Another Jiffy L**e Multicare upgrade in the books!
This week brought us to Maynard, MA, where we retired the shop’s oldest Ben Pearson mid-rise lift and replaced it with a new BendPak P-9000.
But the best part? Sitting right there in Bay 1 was an Atlas 9K two-post baseplate lift that I sold, delivered, and installed nearly 10 years ago and it’s still going strong.
I’ve got a lot of history with this shop. It originally opened in 1987, and over the years I’ve installed and replaced several generations of equipment here, from two Rotary PAL 7s, to Ben Pearson mid-rise lifts, to the Atlas in Bay 1, and now the new BendPak P-9000.
I’ll never forget the original project. We had to cut through 4-inch heavy-duty angle iron surrounding the pits to make the lifts fit all without catching the rubber matting on fire. 😅 The goal then was the same as it is today: make the installation clean, precise, and professional.
There’s something pretty cool about coming back years later, seeing equipment you installed still doing its job, and getting the opportunity to help the same shop with its next upgrade.
