What if your friend doesn't catch you??? These people came all the way from Gardendale, Tuscaloosa, & Hayden! 🤯Which has me reflecting on trust at this moment. What is TRUST? It's something we talk about a lot in our office. It's that intangible thing that has taken years to earn. Its not always visible but its absence at times can be palpable. Experts say it requires four positive experiences at a business to evoke a feeling of trust. It is however something that can be lost in an instant, regardless of prior experiences. One dropped ball, one loose drain plug, or one forgotten call back.

I'm certain that we've lost someone's trust along our way. You can't be in business for 22 years and not disappoint someone by dropping the ball or making a mistake. It's a part of the growing and learning process. We debrief all of our mistakes as a group in the office so that we can all learn together.

Most of us have experienced a trust fall at some point. A youth camp, school trip, or church retreat no doubt. Today though I was reminded of trust while talking with several customers. We had vehicles in our shop from all over the Birmingham area. Some from as far as Gardendale, Hayden, and Tuscaloosa. All of these people passed dozens of perfectly good shops to come support our business. That is not something that is lost on us!

Trust is definitely something that this group at The Garage understands the importance of. We spend so much time and energy trying to ensure that you are taken care of fairly, honestly, and with your family's safety in mind.

So THANK YOU for trusting us with the care of your family vehicle. It means a lot to this guy and this crew. 😍🥰

Does your family Honda/Acura have over 100k miles? It might be time to have your timing belt replaced. Its due by Honda every 105k miles and if it were to break can cause catastrophic damage to the engine 😬. Today JL is working on a 2013 Pilot giving it a new factory Honda timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and coolant.

Who do you recommend for....? 🚨We get asked all the time for other businesses that we recommend for services that we don't perform. I thought I would share a few that we believe take good care of our clients as well as providing good service in our area. 😎 Please feel free to comment with your positive experiences with these vendors!

Transmission rebuilds - Haley Transmission. George and Charles have been doing this for longer than I've been alive 🤣 They are great guys that care about doing the right thing! 205-664-8710

Windshield replacement - Raynor auto glass. Jasper Raynor has been exceedingly quick to answer phone calls & questions. He's done several windshields for us personally. He's local and loves taking care of customers! 205-523-3777

European cars - While we do service european cars there are some brands/models/years that we have to refer away. For that we partner with Autohaus, Inc. in Pelham 205-664-5757. Alan and his team are a small family business like ours and truly care about their clients. Have been recommending them for years!

Audio/Cameras/misc - Need a backup camera or aftermarket stereo? Mark & the guys got you covered. They are just across the street from us in Pelham 205-822-0145

Detailing/Headlight restoration - John & Wendy have been customers since the beginning. He has a mobile detailing business that we've used many times for headlight restoration, Ozone treatment, detailing etc. Local & Super awesome! 205-441-2300

Body work - Anthony's Paint & Body in Pelham. Jeff Serio is the man. Always available to talk and has fixed many of my family's boo boos over the years. 205-987-1482

Diesel & Heavy duty vehicle repairs - Typically we refer people to A to Z automotive 205-419-0264 in Alabaster or Riverchase automotive 205-733-1037 just down the street. Both have been in business for a long long time and unless something has changed they both service large diesel vehicles.

Headliners/Upholstery - I've had great success with both The Trim Shop 205-822-0522 & Coverflip auto upholstery in Pelham 205-664-2345. They both have done headliner and leather seat replacement for me in the past.

Lift kits - Have zero experience here but typically refer people to H&H truck accessories in pelham 205-664-8100. They're local and have been in business for a long long time.

Lawn care - . Locally owned and committed to quality service. These guys take care of our home and business. 205-453-9367

HVAC - Its expensive but no way around it! We've been using Brown's HVAC services for several years and have always been pleased with their prompt service 205-871-8111
