Kountry Kayaks LLC KKLLC is a watercraft rental company operating at Lake Vesuvius in Lawrence County Ohio. Single and double kayaks, Individuals and groups.

Kountry Kayaks LLC is owned by Jennifer and Scott Mootz Together they are helping others discover the joys of nature with their watercraft rentals. The basis of the business is a livery operating on selected dates from the Lake Vesuvius boat ramp (part of Wayne National Forest in Lawrence County Ohio). Jennifer and Scott are also avid Kayakers and regularly paddle their personal boats in various v

enues. The kayak fleet is also available for group outings and parties. Our kayaks are MADE IN AMERICA by Jackson Kayak. Our paddleboats are MADE IN AMERICA by Paddlewheeler



Our carefully chosen assortment allows clients to choose boats that suit them or their style. Kountry Kayaks, LLC located at Lake Vesuvius, and Wayne National Forests under special use permit from the Forest Service, USDA.

CLOSED FOR THE SEASON: While we are typically open through September, we have made the decision to close for the remainder of the season due to the current condition of the lake. It isn’t feasible for our clients OR employees to have an enjoyable experience at this time. The business is based on cleanliness and ease of water access which, unfortunately, neither are possible at this time. Thank you all for another great season and we hope to see you next year!

‼️ After speaking to some people, launching IS possible, but some adaptations will need to be made on our end. We will be closed this weekend in order to figure everything out (especially because we don’t want to try new things with a chance of rain also looming). We PLAN to be open again on the 30th - the weather is starting to change from miserable hot to perfect temps by that weekend, also! Thank you to everyone for your continued support and patience during the unpredictable circumstances 😊

Opening May 10th! I’ve waited to see if the weather will change, but looks like we will be opening a week later this year (even next weekend looks a little sketchy 🌧️). Can’t wait for another great season!
