🚨 BRAND NEW DOESN’T MEAN CONTAMINATION-FREE! 🚨
This brand-new Chevy Tahoe had only a few hundred miles on it when it arrived at Glossy Image Detailing for a ceramic coating.
You might think a vehicle this new wouldn’t need much preparation—but take a look at what happens when we apply an iron remover to the paint. 👀
🧲 Those purple reactions are embedded iron contamination reacting with the product.
Vehicles can pick up iron particles, brake dust, rail dust, industrial fallout, and other contaminants during transportation, sitting on dealership lots, and simply being driven—even when the vehicle is brand new.
That’s why proper paint decontamination is such an important part of the ceramic coating process.
Before applying a coating, we want the paint as clean and contaminant-free as possible so the coating can properly bond to the surface and provide the protection it was designed to deliver.
New vehicle ≠ clean paint.
The prep work underneath the coating is just as important as the coating itself. 💯
