Here is the " Sonoita Extension ", the proposed phase 3 for the PTTT. Making the connection to Sonoita, opening the door to future phases that could connect to Las Cienegas National Conservation Area, and eventually the San Pedro National Conservation Area.

The TTT is open, but there will be an official opening ceremony Saturday April 24 at 11:00 AM, at the trailhead sign in front of Town Hall.

This kind of ugly picture is beautiful to me, because it took 10 years to get phase two of the Train Track Trail done.

Now you can travel 4.25 miles on gentle single track from the Town of Patagonia to the Arizona National Scenic Trail at Casa Blanca Canyon, and onto Borderlands Restorations land and trail system Built by local heroes, The Dirtbags.

This carsonite marker is the terminus of the Main Line Trail where it meets the Arizona Trail.

The Train Track Trail is open in a limited capacity.
The " Main Line " is shut. Right off the highway bridge at the bridge footing/informative sign the trail has been shifted to the town yard road. It follows the road all the way to where the " Roundhouse Loop " comes into the main line. The main line is shut beyond here as well, folks can take the Roundhouse Loop over by the NSS farm, across San Antonio Rd. and from there across Sonoita creek to the town limit, taking the Main Line back to the SA road, then walk the road Back to the Roundhouse Loop. Enjoy it while it's open, and walk the edges of the tread to trample greens and keep it clear.
We can use more volunteers to work on the trail.

Train Track Trail is all trimmed up, saw an owl and a heron there this morning. Cemetery trail is tidied up too.

Looks like we might be ready to start the TTT extension project this month, building 3.5 miles of new trail along Hwy. 82.
Anyone wishing to volunteer, please contact us.
