To kick-off boat race weekend, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, hydroplanes will be on display in the Apollo Mechanical Contractors parking lot at 2600 N. Columbia Center Blvd. in Richland.
You’ll get the chance to see some of the world’s fastest race boats, H1 Unlimited Hydroplanes, on display, as well as smaller boat classes who will be competing at the Tri-City Water Follies.
All seven H1 teams will have their hydroplanes displayed at this event. This is a chance to see the boats up close, connect with the teams and enjoy some pre-race excitement as we gear up for the Water Follies.
Then, at 6 p.m. following the display, the hydroplanes will head down Columbia Park Trail, headed east toward the park. Join us for a parade and park along Columbia Park Trail, between Columbia Center Blvd. and Edison St., where the hydroplanes start heading to the pits.
Starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, Columbia Park will be fenced off and closed to the public to get ready for the 2026 Tri-City Water Follies! Check out our website to get tickets for the 2026 Tri-City Water Follies.
