We added a simple 3 panel back drop to this sailboat. The client wanted better access to his winches so we made zip open flaps. He also wanted lines to come thru the panels so zippers were placed in the bottom that allow the ropes to travel up to 3’ left and right and the zipper still closes.

It’s Porch Enclosure Time!

Well, it’s porch enclosure time and we just finished this beautiful project. The client upgraded to 40ga scratch resistant strata glass and black pvc track with hidden screws. This is a top notch roll up enclosure with all stainless steel hardware and screws and 1/4” heavy duty ropes, it doesn’t get much better than this! Call us for an appointment today!

“Banded top” we did this some time ago, this is the largest banded top we’ve ever done. I want to say it was about 15’ x 15’, we sewed rough pockets all the way around and slid pipe in them so we could stretch the top with ratchet straps . Once we stretch the top, we have to leave it for 8 to 10 hrs because the new fabric relaxes and then it needs to be retensioned…….. if you skip this step you end up with a floppy top and this is regardless of the size. Where the rivets go in there’s a double thickness sewn in for strength and when the band goes on there is a small bead of silicone that goes on the back side of the band to help hold the fabric between the rivets. Stamoid top was used for this job.

Well as much as it pains us to say, it seems the 2026 summer season is winding down….so IT’S WINTER PROJECT TIME 😀. Yes, you procrastinated all year! Make sure you are ready for next season, schedule that winter project now!

Never a dull day at Shoreline Awning and Trim Inc. ,Yes we do marine work and we do awning / shade structure work. Well here is a combination, an awning on a floating house. Always fun working on a floating dock with ladders. As usual the customer loved it.

This wasn’t a very complicated job to do but you don’t work on Pergolas often. The client wanted color matched aluminum track so everything was predrilled, rounded and filed before it went to the powdercoater. The covers slid in super easy and we installed common sense fasteners and tabs to keep them from sliding out. The clients was super happy!

When 9/11 happened, we had an American flag in a box, I went and pulled it out and mounted it to the front of the shop. Everyday we were open I unrolled the flag and put it out and rolled it back up at night and brought it in. When we relocated in 2021 the flag was worn and tattered so we disposed of it properly. I felt a need to have it in front of our shop again. I (Stephen Hancock) believe in helping people and giving a hand up in this world of ours, but for now I’m ok with “America First” until……. We get our house in order!
