Do you know how we got started? It began with a pop-up camper. 🏕️

Darrin and his wife Stacey have been RVing for over 35 years. They started in tents, moved up to a pop-up, then a travel trailer, and today they're rolling in a 40-foot motorhome. These days they're not weekend warriors — they travel for months at a time, chasing the RV life they love.

After 38 years as a systems engineer and acquisition program manager with the U.S. Department of Defense, Darrin retired looking for something different. Something that would keep him busy, help people, and let him live his RVing passion every day.

So he trained at the National RV Training Academy, earned his Certified RV Inspector credential through NRVIA, and became a Registered Technician with the RVTAA. Then — after a lot of prayer and study — he founded All Around RV Inspections, LLC. 🚐

Our mission is simple: give fellow RVers peace of mind before they buy. A professional pre-purchase inspection means no surprises after the sale — you know exactly what you're getting.

The response has been incredible, and we've grown. Inspector DJ Benning joined the team with a strong RV service background, and we've expanded into new owner education, pre-purchase buying consulting, and commercial consulting.

Caught in an RV during a bad thunderstorm? Read this before the next one hits. ⛈️

The real dangers aren't just rain- it's lightning, high winds, falling trees, and tornadoes. Here's how to stay safe:

⚡️ If the storm's already on top of you, stay inside. Don't run out to disconnect cords or move gear.
🚪 Keep away from windows, doors, metal framing, plumbing, faucets, and anything plugged in.
🏠 An RV is NOT as safe as a solid building in strong winds. If there's a sturdy structure or storm shelter nearby, get to it before conditions turn dangerous.
🌪️ Tornado or destructive-wind warning? An RV is especially unsafe. Get into a real building-an interior room on the lowest floor.
🌳 Parked under big trees, power lines, or anything that could fall? That's added risk.

One rule above all: don't try to reposition your RV once lightning, high winds, or flooding have already started.

Power pedestals fail more often than you'd think-a tripped breaker, a really bad storm, an overloaded park on a hot weekend. Here's what to do before you panic:

🔌 Unplug your shore power cord. A surge when power comes back can fry your electronics.
🌡️ Keep the fridge and freezer closed. They'll hold temp for hours if you leave them shut.
🔋 Know your battery bank. Your 12V system keeps lights, water pump, and vents running- ration it.
🌀 Switch propane to run the fridge if you've got an absorption unit.
⚠️ When power returns, check the pedestal voltage before you plug back in. Low or "dirty" power does real damage.

The RVers who stay calm in an outage are the ones who knew their rig before it happened. That's exactly what a full inspection tells you — what your systems can handle when the grid can't.
