2005 Ford f250 6.0l power stroke came in needing some new brakes and a little steering issue. New pads and rotors installed in the rear. New pads, rotors and calipers in the front. Truck stops amazing now. Front track bar bushings were worn out causing the front differential to move side to side a bit so swapped it out with a new one. While the front end was getting some work we installed some new front shocks. Power steering gear box had some shaft play causing some binding. Removed old leaking gear box and swapped pitman arm over to new gear box then installed into the truck. Truck turns like it should.

2014 Ford explorer police edition with the 3.7l came in with a clunk in the rear, soft brakes and hard steering. New rear pads, rotors and calipers took care of the soft brake pedal. Stops on a dime now. New rear coil spring and sway bar link installed. The inner tie rod boots were ripped causing a ton of dirt and debris to get into the steering gear on the electronic rack and pinion. Dropped the subframe and swapped out the electronic rack and pinion with a new one. Turns great no binding now. Changed engine oil and filter while it was in the shop as well. The vehicle is good to go down the road again.

A 2015 Chevy 2500 HD underwent significant repairs due to a rusted bed. Instead of performing extensive body work, the decision was made to install a new steel flatbed. A new ball was fitted for the gooseneck hitch. Additionally, several lights on the truck and plow were replaced. All lighting systems are now functioning properly, thanks to the new LED lighting on the flatbed. To finish the job off, the truck received a fresh undercoating application.

A 2006 GMC 2500 with a 6.6L Duramax engine was brought in for worn-out upper control arm bushings. Rather than replacing with standard factory control arms, we opted for an upgrade. These upgraded tubular control arms feature replaceable bolt-in ball joints, eliminating the need for alignments after replacement. This design provides a permanent solution. I offer a few different options for this style of upper control arm.

A customer required a customized side step installation on the driver's side front door to facilitate easy entry and exit. Due to excessive rust damage on the inner rockers, attaching aftermarket steps was not feasible, and the customer opted out of full side steps. I created a custom solution, resolving the customer's entry and exit issues. 2004 GMC 1500 came in with a no start issue due to a corroded fuse box under the hood which also corroded the main cab harness connector. Due to the main harness being corroded off it also affected the 4x4 shift motor so it wasn't allowing it to activate into 4x4. Pulled a complete harness and fuse box out of a Chevy Tahoe. Pulled the dash apart on the GMC pickup and started removing the old harness. Once it was removed the new harness laid right back in place with ease. Reinstalled the dash. Installed fuse box from Tahoe into the truck. New battery installed and the truck fired right up with no issues at all. Everything is working correctly besides the electric seat due to Tahoe having Manuel seats. 4x4 is working great in all selections.

Important notice for all of my existing and new customers.

I will no longer be leaving keys in vehicles or using a drop box. In addition to this, all bills ARE REQUIRED TO BE PAID IN FULL before picking up a vehicle.

Unfortunately, this has led to many problems of people picking up vehicles and then refusing to pay. While I have had no issues with most of my customers, there have been more than enough times where this is an issue. It will no longer be tolerated.

There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.

In addition to this, the only person authorized to give my customers their keys is myself, Jonathan. My shop is rented space but I am the only person who works at Lane’s Auto.

All vehicles will need to be picked up during shop hours unless otherwise agreed upon by myself and my customer.

Lastly, threatening myself, my wife, or anyone on business property with physical harm will be met with police involvement. It is extremely unfortunate that I even have to state this, but due to recent events, it is necessary.

While I prefer to be flexible to my customers, I have been taken advantage of too many times. I have a family to take care of and a business to run.

Thank you for your understanding.

2014 GMC Sierra 1500 came into the shop with a blown transmission. Had a transmission from a local transmission shop dropped off that was freshly rebuilt. Removed the old and installed the new transmission with a new torque converter. All new fluids in transmission and transfercase. Installed new transmission cooler lines. Had the transmission control module programmed. Truck goes down the road like new again. While it was in the shop went through it and replaced a bad front left cv axle. New sway bar link. One new inner tie rod end and to finish it off a set of rear shocks. Truck is ready for the road again.
