ARE YOU CHOOSING AN EXTENDED WARRANTY? Some questions to ask. 1) Whether or not my rv is disabled does the warranty cover a mobile technician? Shops often have long wait times to get in and even longer turn around times. A mobile tech leaves your RV in your hands while ordering parts and dealing with warranty requirements for approval. 2) Does the warranty company limit costs of the repairs? 3) What is their process and timeline? People call for an emergency repair and expect their warranty company just to cover it. Many require a trip out for diagnosis and to get approval and then a second trip out to do the repair. Not efficient in an emergency and not following may result in them not covering the repair. This also comes into play when 4) Are they open for claims on the weekend? When do most people use their RV's? If they require prior approval for a claim or don't cover mobile repairs and are closed on the weekends to get approval then that warranty claim may have to be paid upfront by you and hopefully reimbursed by the warranty company later. Just some info that may help you choose an extended warranty that truly works for you! Questions? Let us know! Do you have good experiences or bad with any extended warranties? Please comment below!
