First and foremost there is NO change in weekends for NE EDT events. There is only change in venues as Round 1 will now be at Kinston, NC now and Round 2 will be at Busco Beach ATV Park in Goldsboro, N. Carolina. This however does effect the Short Track Series as round one will now be moved to Friday May 22nd when we are now at Busco Beach ATV Park.
The facts as we where provided: The original date for Busco ATV Park was booked just prior to release of schedule in 2019. The event promoter verified they also have confirmation of those original dates. This facility is rented for the weekend by the local promoter for that event, which includes full access including the track, hook ups and area surrounded the TT Race track which is fenced in at this large ATV Park. Extreme Promotions who is the promoter for that event got confirmation from Busco Beach ATV Park recently that there was an issue. They where advised recently there was a miscommunication and they double booked the facility for the same weekend in April. We where told there was a large group that rented all the hook up spots plus had another large group of camper that where primitive camping for a concert. They where bringing in also a band to play also at the track. This presented a large problem and if Busco Beach ATV Park could not resolve the issue we would be forced to either cancel the event or make a change. With vacations time off set, travel and other factors considered at this point changing the actual dates was not a viable option. The great folks of Kinston stepped in and offered to swap dates as they will take Round 1 and Extreme Promotions can take Round 2. That unfortunately was the only option especially this year when the friends. family , series, and every one involved has plans to celebrate the life of Neil Pritchard at Busco Beach ATV Park. The Neil Pritchard Memorial EDT National will be May 23rd and will be Round 2 of the 2020 Championship Season. We sincerely apologize for any issues this may cause for those that had originally planned to attend the Neil Pritchard Memorial EDT National in April which now will be in May.
