The single most important act you can do to get the longest life from your vehicle is to follow your manufacturer’s maintenance schedule. You’ll have a safer ride, longer service life, and better resale value toward your next vehicle.
Your vehicle battery takes a beating these days, with all the electronic systems on today’s vehicles. Their service life is now just 2-5 years! If you’re coming up on that date, or if you have any recurring electrical issues, we can check it and make sure you’ve got enough battery power for your needs.
In most vehicles, brakes need replacing only once or twice in 100,000 miles. It’s really a matter of how you drive that determines how long they will last. Always use top quality parts for the safest brakes possible.
Your transmission is a system that gets little attention in today’s vehicles. But they still go through just as much stress and wear as they did decades ago. Be sure and have your transmission serviced as recommended by the manufacturer for a long and trouble-free life.” so it will be easy to find.
Your nose can tell you a lot about how your vehicle is operating. There are numerous materials and fluids that all have certain properties for normal operation, but once they get too hot, they will produce a noticeable smell. A sweet, acrid smell is likely electrical wiring, and since wiring is well hidden it’s best to evacuate a vehicle with this smell.
Your vehicle comes with instructions; it’s most often called an “Owner’s Manual” or “Operating Guide.” Inside, you’ll find information about every aspect of your new vehicle, from how to start it, to where to find fuses, and when to get maintenance done. Trust this booklet, as millions of dollars have been invested by the manufacturer in the procedures they provide. We are happy to help you, so come on in and we’ll discuss your needed maintenance requirements and how we can help you stay on track!
Out of the blue, there’s suddenly green, red, or other color fluids under my car. WHAT’S GOING ON!! No need to panic…yet. Depending on the manufacturer, some coolants are red, some are green, and some are yellow. Never mix colors, and always use the color your vehicle already has in the radiator. Also, many transmission fluids are red. If any of these are under your car, you have a leak, and it needs to be addressed. If it’s monstrously large, don’t drive the car, have it towed to avoid more damage.

Modern vehicles now have a filter, similar to the engine air filter, in the cabin ventilation system. It does the same function, that of removing dust, particles, and pollen from the ventilation air. In some luxury brands, this is a HEPA filter for its better filtering properties. Usually well-located for maintenance, this filter should be changed often to protect your family from airborne contaminants. We know where it is , and can change it for you at your next service.
Just like your steering system, your brake system is a major part of controlling your vehicle once it starts moving. The braking system is what slows you down, allowing you to safely enter a corner or driveway and keep control. It stops you whenever you want to stop, or immediately if there’s an emergency ahead. There are many parts to your braking system, and they need to be inspected regularly. Make an appointment today so you can keep your family safe.
When in doubt, come in and have us check it out. Whether there is a new clunk or a new noise or your vehicle is pulling to one side or the other we're ready to help you fix the issue.

The key to a car running at its best is basic maintenance. Keeping up with fluid changes, tire checks, filter changes and other services will help avoid bigger and more expensive repairs.
At home you change your furnace filter, but what about your vehicle’s Cabin Air Filter? If you or your loved ones suffer from allergies due to airborne particles, the cabin air filter purifies the air in your passenger compartment by filtering pollen, dust, and other contaminants. It also helps keep the interior of your vehicle clean and fresh.
Maybe you’ve neglected the “Oil Change” light a little too long. A clean engine is a well-running engine, and a clean filter means that your oil stays as clean as it can for as long as it can.
There are several different types of antifreeze and coolant products. Some manufacturers require a specific type to be used that is compatible with the alloy your engine is made from. We know what works best for your vehicle and driving, so come on by and get the coolant service your car deserves!

Tires need tread depth to provide grip and to channel water away from the point of road contact. As tread decreases, there is less traction available, and your vehicle can slide, or even hydroplane in wet weather. We’ll check your tread depth and let you know when it’s time for change.
Brake pads come in a variety of materials, based upon how they will be used on your vehicle. Some will stop quicker than others; some may create more brake dust on your wheels. Some are quieter than others, too. Talk to us when it’s time to replace your brake pads, and we’ll set you up with the right ones for your driving needs.
Hoses and serpentine belts are items that need regular inspection for wear. The serpentine can fray and break, causing the loss of power steering, electrical power, and engine cooling. Hoses can develop leaks, losing your engine coolant and causing your car to overheat. Whenever that hood is up, have the technician give a quick inspection.
