Wednesday Whiteboard ☕️

4:50 am traffic-light report was a split decision this morning. Maybe a little impatience out there, but overall smooth enough.

Good Tuesday morning crew ☕️

4:50 traffic-light report was steady this morning, especially with commercial vehicles. Seems like everybody got loaded up yesterday and hit the road early today.

The axle brackets are wrapped up for a custom jacked-up Black Widow edition Ford. I was only handling the brackets on this one, so no full truck pictures, but sometimes the small pieces are the whole reason the big pieces work.

Today is a mix of necessary shop stuff and getting ahead of the season. The shop heater is getting cleaned and ready for its long, expensive winter shift, and we’re making room for a brand new loam screener coming in for some serious modifications.

Definitely a change of pace around here for the next couple weeks, but that’s part of the fun. We’ll get the shop ready and see what the universe throws through the door next.

Morning crew ☕️

4:50 traffic-light report was calm as could be until a Jeep blew through a stop sign at a dangerous intersection like it wasn’t even there. If I wasn’t turning toward the shop, that one could’ve been ugly. Good reminder this morning: stay awake out there, even when the road feels quiet.

Back in the shop today with a little fabrication/modification work. These brackets need to be changed up to accept a smaller diameter rear end tube, so we’ll be making some new plates, doing some trimming, fitting, and getting them where they need to be.

Looks like it’s going to be a week of variety around here. I’m accepting some smaller jobs this week to keep the flow moving, and I’ll keep picking away at winter prep as I go. Luckily I’m in decent shape because I’ve been chipping at it a little at a time.

New week, same plan: keep building, keep adapting, and keep your head on a swivel.

Sunday night shop reflection.

This ’32 took 2nd in its class at Brimfield’s show yesterday, and I’m proud to have had a small part in it.

I built the exhaust and custom tips on this car. The original plan was oval tips, and honestly, that’s what I sold the job on. But once the car was in my hands and I could really see the flow of it, I changed direction.

When I held these tips up, they almost disappeared into the car, and that’s exactly what I wanted. This car is beautiful, and I didn’t want the exhaust fighting for attention. I wanted it to have an elegant flow and feel like it belonged there.

Congrats to the owner. Very well deserved.

That’s the part of this work I love. Some jobs are loud, some are subtle, some are fabrication, some are problem solving, and some are just finding that little Finesse Garage touch that helps the whole build come together.

This week has a little bit of everything on deck: fabrication, modifying custom 4x4 brackets, some diagnostic work, a special little art project, and whatever else happens after the traffic light in the morning.

Good Sunday morning crew ☕️✨

Yesterday’s Brimfield show was one of those days that reminds you why we do all this.

We spent a lot of time getting ready, polishing, cleaning, fixing the tiny details, and getting the family packed up for a long show day. And honestly… it did not disappoint.

Lots of cars, lots of laughs, and even better conversations. That’s the part that sticks with me the most. The cars bring everyone together, but the people are what make the day worth it.

Seeing the Finesse Garage shirts walking around, having family there, talking with old friends and new ones, and just soaking in a beautiful fall day in New England… that’s a win all by itself.

Big thank you to everyone who stopped by, talked cars, shared stories, or simply showed some love or helped on truck. We appreciate it more than you know.

Hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday. Take the ride, enjoy the weather, and keep building the life you don’t need a vacation from. ✨

Getting ready for Brimfield’s Annual Car Show tomorrow morning. https://www.facebook.com/share/19dfpyCjau/

I didn’t even realize it at first, but there I was polishing wheels on a Friday night, and that brought me right back. That was one of my ancient favorite Friday night traditions, cleaning up the Mustang rims before heading out for a little Friday night action.😉🏁

Funny how those old habits show back up.

We spent a lot of time on the shop truck this week. My daughter put a couple days in helping wrap wires, polish, clean, and get this thing just a little more ready. Family stopped by, friends of Finesse Garage stopped by, and the shop had that good kind of busy energy all week.

Tomorrow should be a good show. If you’re heading to Brimfield, come say hi.

And a little reminder: everyone who rolls in with a car tomorrow probably put in more work than anyone will ever see. Late nights, little details, last-minute fixes, cleaning, polishing, loading, stressing, and still showing up.

That deserves respect.

Morning crew ☕️

4:50 traffic-light report was light this morning, but there was definitely a little impatience and maybe a touch of entitlement floating around out there. Be cautious. Let them have the lane, we’ve got better things to do than win a stupid race to the next red light.

We missed Wednesday’s whiteboard, so we’re sneaking one in for Friday.

Good Thursday morning, Morning Crew ☕️

4:50 traffic-light report was a busy little commute this morning. Steady traffic, everybody moving, and the day started early.

Today is button-up day on the roadster. The exhaust is built, now it’s down to polishing tips, final fitment, and reassembly so the customer is ready for Brimfield on Saturday. I put a late night into it to make sure the hard part was behind me.

Tomorrow I’m taking a personal shop day to get the truck ready for the show, pick away at one more winter-prep item, and I’ll get our whiteboard back on track in the morning.

The little details always take the longest, but that’s usually where the job gets its personality.
