Another week wraps up at Finesse Garage—This is a lil piece I'm working on let's see if i can make it something to look at.

The Saturday crew post brought some great conversation, the Mental Boost table was full, and even my fiancée stopped in to join the chaos. Cars, fabrication, art, laughs and people just taking a minute to connect. That’s what this place is becoming.

Next week we should be writing the final chapter on the Firebird exhaust, and a turbo Talon is headed back onto the rack.

Good people. Good energy. More stories waiting to be told.

Thanks for following the journey. 👊

Just another Saturday at Finesse Garage—some wrenching, some art, a little chaos, and plenty of good conversation. Wouldn’t have it any other way. 👊

Good Full Moon Friday, morning crew 🌕☕️

Today I’m playing around with a few designs for the Firebird’s custom exhaust tips. This is the part of fabrication I enjoy—the system works, but now it needs that final detail that makes it belong to the car.

I’ve also got a return repair coming in, and if everything cooperates, there may be a little “test-drive cruise” later. 🦊

Nothing forced today. Just steady progress, a little creativity, and seeing where the work takes us.
Would you go clean and subtle on the tips—or make them impossible to miss?

Morning crew ☕️

The Firebird exhaust is cranking away today. Hoping to make some major progress on the electric dumps and those custom oval tips—it’s going to have a pretty unique attitude when it’s finished. 😎

The Boss Hoss trike left yesterday and went straight into a 130-mile test ride. The owner called afterward very happy with our diagnosis and repair—that’s the kind of phone call you like getting.

I’ve also got a car returning because a pipe I welded broke. No excuses and no hesitation—we’re going to honor our work and make it right. The wins feel good, but standing behind your work matters just as much.

Busy Thursday at Finesse Garage. Let’s make some sparks. 👊

Hi my name is Jason Methe aka (Scrapper) .

I thought id share a normal day in my shop.
Love me or hate me Im at shop everyday creating and building stuff I think is cool. I try my best to run a successful business but its a struggle for sure. Shout out to all small and big business owners. It takes a special mind to be able to multi task on a day in day out basis . I have much respect for all the hard workers in every industry and ive been involved in many and i do understand the sacrifices. I work on real deal machines mixed with art and passion. Some days are better then others for me in the shop. You kinda never know what your gonna get .

Good morning, crew ☕️

This one sounds obvious… but the obvious answer might not be the whole answer. 🤔

Study the board before you commit—and no Googling. 😎

What’s your answer, and which car comes to mind first? 👇

Today I was reminded that how we treat people matters just as much as the work we perform.

I walked into another local shop as a fellow business owner and a longtime customer, expecting a normal conversation. Instead, I was spoken to disrespectfully—and so were my shop, my work and the customer’s vehicle I was driving.

This happened in front of customers waiting for their own vehicles and employees who still had to continue working after the room was turned upside down.

We all have bad days. We all carry things nobody else can see. But if you’re having a day where you can’t treat people with basic respect, step away for a few minutes. Don’t make your customers question whether they’re safe bringing concerns to you, and don’t leave your employees standing in the chaos afterward.

An apology came later, and I acknowledge that. But apologies don’t immediately erase what everyone in that room experienced.

I chose to walk away, and the business relationship is now over. I won’t name the shop or encourage anyone to attack it—that isn’t the community I’m trying to build.

Small businesses should be able to communicate, disagree and correct problems without tearing one another apart. Around here, respect will always be part of the job.

Let’s do better—for our customers, our employees and each other.

That morning test ride grounded me this morning.
And so did every conversation i had afterwards.
I'm grateful for that.

Good Tuesday morning, crew ☕️

A little variety in the shop today…

The Foxbody is just about ready to head off for its alignment this week, and today’s main adventure is changing the U-joint in this LS3-powered trike.

Calling it a “driveshaft” might be generous—it’s literally two yokes and a U-joint. 🤣 But with an LS3 sitting in front of it, that little joint has a pretty important job.

Let’s wake everybody up before tomorrow’s whiteboard:

You get the keys to one for the afternoon—the LS3 trike or the Foxbody? 👀

Morning crew ☕️

Judging by the traffic rolling through our little town at 5 a.m., it’s going to be a busy Monday for everyone.😳

The same cars are back in the shop this week, so hopefully the right parts show up and we can finally knock them out. The Firebird exhaust is about halfway there, the Foxbody needs a panhard bar, and we’ve got plenty of art to finish for the big show in two weeks.

A full plate—but before the week gets rolling, here’s a peaceful little picture to slow us all down for a second. 🐝

Take a breath, enjoy your coffee, and ease into it. We’ve got all week to be busy.
