MODERNIZED NOT MODIFIED.

2014 Porsche 911 – The customer requested a backup camera while keeping the factory look and feel of the car.

After research and careful consideration, we presented several options that would accomplish this goal. One solution clearly stood above the rest. We installed a backup camera that interfaces directly with the factory infotainment system, while also retrofitting Apple CarPlay into the original Porsche head unit.

This approach preserves the factory styling and originality of the interior, avoiding the drawbacks of an aftermarket infotainment system that can detract from the vehicle’s value. Everything functions as intended — clean integration, factory controls, and seamless operation.

The result is a classic 911 that still feels true to its roots, now enhanced with modern conveniences that make daily driving more enjoyable. Navigation, music, calls, and camera visibility — all without compromising what makes the car special. PRE-PURCHASE PROTECTED.

2021 BMW X5 – Customer just purchased vehicle. Customer requests Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI). (That decision alone saved them from a very expensive surprise.)

During our inspection, we found the HVAC system would not respond to temperature changes on the passenger side. After proper diagnosis, we confirmed the issue was a failed air distribution housing inside the HVAC system.

The vehicle was being sold by an online-only dealer, so we contacted them directly and were provided information for their 100-day / 4,000-mile warranty. After submitting our findings, the warranty approved the repair and we got started. Once the vehicle was disassembled, we discovered evidence of a previous HVAC repair - misplaced fasteners and, more importantly, the HVAC drain incorrectly positioned. This allowed air-conditioning condensation to leak into the interior, saturating the carpets. Issues like this don’t always show up immediately, but over time can lead to odors, electrical problems, and interior damage.

We documented everything, dried the interior thoroughly, and contacted the warranty company again. After extensive back-and-forth, they approved carpet replacement in addition to the original HVAC repair.

All repairs were completed using OE BMW parts, including replacement of the air distribution housing and new carpeting, restoring proper HVAC operation and preventing future moisture damage.

This job is a perfect example of why having a used vehicle inspected before purchase matters — and why choosing a competent shop that diagnoses thoroughly and repairs correctly is just as important. What starts as a “minor concern” can quickly turn into a major expense if it’s overlooked or improperly repaired.

Customer states brakes feel funny, engine stalls and sluggish. After parking the car it will no longer start.

1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL “Pagoda” – a classic with real value, history, and craftsmanship behind it. When this beauty experienced a brake system failure and a low battery, the owner didn’t want it towed and was extremely cautious about who would be allowed to work on it. Cars like this deserve careful hands and proper attention.

We were called out to diagnose the issue on-site. We found and replaced a failed brake booster vacuum line, performed a LiquiMoly oil service, and installed a new battery to restore reliable starting and healthy electrical performance.

A first-time customer, hesitant at first, quickly saw the level of care we put into every step — from the way we handle vintage components to the way we communicate through the repair process. By the end of the service, we didn’t just fix the issues… we earned a customer for life.

2007 Porsche Boxster - Customer states fluid leaking from rear of vehicle.

This Porsche came in with a bouncy, unsettled ride and visible fluid leaking from the rear shock absorbers. Over time, shocks wear internally and lose their ability to properly control suspension movement. Once they begin to leak, both performance and safety are compromised — leading to longer stopping distances, uneven tire wear, and poor handling.

We replaced the worn shocks with new OE components, along with fresh top bushings and bump stops, to restore proper damping and ride quality. The difference was immediate — a smoother ride, sharper control, and the confidence that comes from a suspension system working exactly as it should.

Electrical issues are some of the most frustrating problems a driver can face. This vehicle had collision damage that broke a connector behind the front bumper. With the wiring harness on backorder and no clear ETA, this shop called us in to make the repair.

2005 Honda CR-V – Customer states vehicle overheating.

We pressure-tested the cooling system on this CR-V and found it was not holding pressure. Upon visual inspection of the cooling system we found several new components like a radiator cooling fan assembly and the thermostat. Further testing confirmed hydrocarbons in the exhaust system — a clear sign of a failing head gasket. Next we tore down the engine and confirmed our suspicions. With a clear diagnosis we can now offer the customer options to repair the engine with confidence.

A head gasket repair is no small job, but it’s critical for restoring proper sealing between the engine block and cylinder head. Left unchecked, issues like this can cause severe overheating and engine damage.
