Dying Breed Auto Works was built from years of experience, sacrifice, hard lessons, and a shared belief that real craftsmanship in the automotive industry is becoming a dying breed.
John and I have been building cars together, working together, and pushing each other for over 20 years. Long before Dying Breed became a business idea, it was already who we were. What started as a friendship built around cars, problem solving, and late nights in the garage eventually grew into a shared vision for something bigger.
We come from two different sides of the same mindset.
I bring the raw side of the operation—the instinct, the intensity, and the drive to solve problems no matter how difficult they are. I’ve spent years working on everything from high-end performance builds and restorations to diagnostics, fabrication, electrical systems, and fleet vehicles. I believe that if your name is attached to something, it should be done correctly the first time.
John brings the same level of dedication and work ethic, but with a quieter, more calculated approach. He’s disciplined, detail-oriented, and one of the hardest-working people I know. Just like me, he’s no stranger to staying late, pushing through difficult projects, and doing whatever it takes to get a vehicle right. Where I bring raw energy and instinct, he brings precision, structure, and consistency.
Different personalities. Same standards.
That balance is what built Dying Breed.
The name represents more than just old cars or performance vehicles. It represents the disappearing culture of real mechanics, skilled tradesmen, and people who still believe in taking pride in their work. It also represents the vehicles themselves—classic muscle, analog performance cars, JDM platforms, and machines built during a time when driving felt connected and craftsmanship mattered.
We started Dying Breed Auto Works because we were tired of seeing rushed work, shortcuts, inflated pricing, and the decline of true automotive craftsmanship. We believe quality work and honest business practices should still exist together.
One thing that allows us to stay fair and competitive is the fact that we’ve operated from the same location for over 12 years. Because our overhead is lower than many modern shops, we’re able to keep reasonable pricing while still maintaining quality workmanship and a sustainable business. We believe customers deserve honest pricing, honest communication, and work that’s actually worth paying for.
Our goal is simple:
Build things the right way.
Treat customers honestly.
Create vehicles we’re proud to put our name on.
And build a community around people who still care about craftsmanship, precision, performance, and automotive culture.
We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop.
We’re trying to be one of the few that still does things right.
Craft Over Convenience.
