Bought the motor years ago. Ran it for a few years. Took it apart every year to inspect and freshen.
In 2020 sent it back to Schmidt to freshen up with new pistons and freshen it completely.
Since then I have only race 1 divisional race each year with 1 test day before it.
I would fog the motor and back off the rockers every year
1 race 1 test day 2020
Same for 2021 and 2022
Getting it ready for 2023 divisional I found a lifter cross bar had broken on my last run in 2022.
I pulled the motor out and had to pull the lifter out the bottom.
At that piont it only had about 20 runs on it. I put new bearings, rings, valve springs and new lifters in it as well as a new cam from Schmidt/ Comp.
Since then this motor only ran the test day and the divisional in 2023 and 2024 .
I was building a house in florida and unable to go to the 2025 divisional race i usally run.
The car came back out in 2026 at the Gainesville baby gator divisional and ran 7.91 lifting scrubbing 6 mph off. Would have been around 7.86. During qualifying I was afraid i would get bumped being the slower car in the top sportsman field and sprayed 1 kit, 30/34 fogger and ran 7.13 @ 194 mph.
This is a great motor with very few runs on it and has been taken care of very well. The class is getting faster and faster and its time for a bigger motor. New motor is on its way so this one has to go. If your interested and in the Florida area I haven't pulled the motor out yet but will be soon. Come hear it run for yourself.
16k takes it all. Carb to pan waterpump and vacuume pump and all. Nitrous kit doesn't come with motor.

Another lithium battrry upgrade. This time on a 2013 club car that was making a mess of his cement floor dropping acid everywhere. All cleaned up and now there is room for a cooler under the seat for those hot florida days.

Went for the maiden test ride in the 68 camaro I have been working on for a while. She ran and stopped good. Gave it a bit from a start, nothing too harsh and the trans started making a noise. Brought it back, pulled it out and apart to find the idler gear stack has a crack right down it and the case has a small crack on the input side.
Also found some needle bearings chewing up a shim.
Some people just like to screw a buyer over. Its not right. This car only went about 2 miles and found this along with a bunch of syncro shavings, the reverse idler gear has a chip in one tooth and all the leading edges for tbe reverse gear are chewed up. But hey, it was painted all pretty and silver. Must have been a rustolyum rebuild.

Just about done with this 68 camaro rs/ss convertible.
I know there is a lot of clones out there. Hard to know these days what's really what and what you have.
Beautiful car, great customer.
I just wish people cared about what they build more.
350 4 speed car.
The work I did got extensive.
Complete front disc brake conversion with master and proportional valve, remake 23 brake lines, rear wheel cylinders and hose, Front and rear sway bay links and shocks, inner tie rods and free up outer adjustments, fuel tank, sender, straps and filler neck. New rear leaf springs, shackles and bushings, Rear diff service and pinion seal, rebuilt power steering pump seals, compression test, tune up including custom cut and fitted plug wires, distributor recurve, missing carb base gasket, melted high beam switch connector, corrected the fuse box not having the abilty to lock the firewall connection to it, multiple wire relocation and cleaning up,shim driver seat to sit upright more, corrected and finished the electric head light door kit and installed modern led headlights, hung the exhaust correctly, replaced all the wheel arch trim screws with new stainless, the old ones were rusty. Its crazy how much small stuff I wont even try to list i corrected while I came across things. I'm sure I probably forgot to mention some big stuff to.
I guess I have a different mentality to how things should be approached and repaired. But hey, that's what makes me. I will always spend the extra time to make sure things are right to the best if my abilities.

Picked up this really cool 1971 cb350 with 1500 miles on it. Last registered expired in 1973. Been sitting in a garage since. Took it down to a bare frame and just gave it a good cleaning as to not ruin the barn find feel it had. Got it all back together and now just need to clean the carbs and get it running

Been busy having fun getting this 1968 Camaro back up and running for a great customer. The car has been sitting in the garage about 8 years. Fixing all the little stuff the previous builder butchered together has kept me quite busy. Not to mention a front disc brake conversion with master and proportioning valve spindles and all, rear wheel cylinders, lines, correcting the proper placement of the rear shoes- short shoe always goes in the front not 2 short on one side and 2 longs on the other 🙄, front and rear sway bar links, rear leaf springs, front and rear shocks, and a new fuel tank, mount the seats properly.
Pinion seal was an incorrect part for the rear and a diff service.
Thanks Steve trevelino for trusting me with your baby .

Had a friend with a concrete buggy stop working on him and his family business. They came to the right guy to get it fixed. The fuel shut off valve shorted out and blew the fuse. They put a jumper wire in place of the fuse,(always a bad idea).
That melted the connector to it. I pulled it apart, fixed it and did some routine maintenance while I had it. Still came out cheaper than the big shops diagnostic fee.
Thanks Jorge Colin for all your great concrete work
