Job Title: Bistro Chef & General Manager
Location: Oregon Outback Bistro – Paisley, Oregon
Employment Type: Full-Time | Housing Assistance Available (necessary)
Compensation: Starting at $3,500/monthly + housing (valued at approx. $1,200/month)

The Oregon Outback Bistro is a health-forward, locally inspired restaurant and market hybrid opening soon in Paisley, Oregon...a tiny, tight-knit community located along a scenic byway in the world’s largest Dark Sky Sanctuary. We’re the only spot to find fresh, organic meals for over 60 miles.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll lead day-to-day operations and cultivate a culture of consistency, warmth, and quality. While we handle branding, marketing, and books...you’ll focus on building a strong team and delivering great food.
Hire, train, and manage front/back-of-house staff
Build service flow, inventory, and safety systems
Oversee prep, plating, and food delivery logistics
Maintain relationships with vendors and local producers
Collaborate on seasonal menus and specials
Maintain a clean, inviting, and well-run space
Step into cooking or service roles as needed (especially early on)
Promote sustainable practices and local sourcing
You Are:
Experienced in foodservice or restaurant leadership
Grounded and adaptable in a rural, remote environment
A hands-on leader who thrives in small, tight-knit teams
Passionate about good food, good people, and meaningful work
