Job Title: Shop Technician (Body Technician Trainee)
Location: 667 Cloman Blvd. Pagosa Springs, CO 81147
Job Type: Full-Time

About Us:
We are a growing collision repair facility committed to quality workmanship, teamwork, and professional development. We’re looking for a motivated Shop Technician who is eager to learn the trade and train toward becoming a Body Technician.

Position Overview:
This is an entry-level position designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the auto body industry. The right candidate will assist experienced technicians, maintain shop organization, and gradually develop the skills needed to advance into a Body Technician role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Wash and detail vehicles before and after repairs
• Assist technicians with vehicle tear down and reassembly
• Support body repair and prep processes as directed
• Help check in and organize parts orders
• Transport vehicles to and from mechanical shops when needed
• Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
• Move vehicles in and out of the shop as needed
• Handle tools and equipment responsibly
• Begin building your own tool collection

Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus, but not required

Compensation & Benefits:
• Pay will be determined based on the right candidate and current skill level
• 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment
• Holiday pay after the first 90 days

Key Responsibilities
• Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs to manufacturer and industry standards
• Repair, replace, and align body panels and components

• Ensure repairs meet insurance and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with estimators, painters, and management to meet production goals

Qualifications
Required:
• 2+ Experience as an Autobody / Collision Repair Technician
• Must provide and maintain own professional tools
• Strong understanding of repair procedures and safety standards
• Reliable attendance and a valid driver’s license
Preferred:
• 4+ years of professional collision repair experience
• I-CAR certification or equivalent training
• Experience working with insurance repair processes
• Ability to identify and correct repair issues before final delivery
