🚗 FRIDAY DRIVING FACT!

Did you know that where you look has a BIG impact on where your vehicle goes? 👀

New drivers often focus too closely on the road directly in front of the vehicle. Instead, practice looking farther down the road while continuing to scan your mirrors, intersections, roadsides, and the traffic around you.

Looking farther ahead gives you more time to:

⚠️ Spot potential hazards
🚦 Notice changing traffic conditions
↔️ Maintain better lane position
🛑 Prepare to slow or stop
🧠 Make decisions BEFORE something becomes an emergency

Good driving isn't just about reacting quickly... it's about seeing problems early enough that you don't have to.

Next time you're practicing, ask yourself:

👀 “Where are my eyes?”

🌧️ RAINY DAY DRIVING? SLOW DOWN & STAY SAFE! 🚗

Rain can make roads slick, reduce visibility, and increase the distance you need to stop. A few simple adjustments can make a BIG difference!

💦 Slow down — wet roads mean less traction.
↔️ Give yourself extra space between you and the vehicle ahead.
💡 Turn on your headlights and make yourself easier to see.
🛞 Keep it smooth — avoid sudden braking, acceleration, or sharp turns.
🌊 Watch for standing water and areas where water may be crossing the road.

What if your vehicle starts to hydroplane?

Stay calm, ease off the accelerator, avoid slamming on the brakes, and steer smoothly where you want to go.

⚠️ AND REMEMBER: NEVER TAKE A CHANCE WITH A FLOODED ROAD.

You can't always tell how deep the water is—or whether the road is even still intact underneath it.

🚫 Don't drive around barricades.
🚫 Don't assume it's safe because another vehicle crossed.
🚫 Don't try to “just make it through.”

TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN! 🌊

Taking a few extra minutes to find another route is always better than taking an unnecessary risk.
