We get calls all the time about flushing or just replacing the torque converter on the gm trucks with a 6 speed transmissions. This is why we dont do it and why it will not fix the issue. Material from the converter wears away the factory coating off of the pressure regulator valve causing low line pressure.
On the far left is a new factory valve
In the middle are the valves out of the previous 15 6l80s that we have rebuilt all with visible damage
And on the right is the valve that we use to replace and solve this issue.

Newest update: All gm 6, 8 , and 10 speed rebuilds that are bench builds, the tuning fee is added into the bill however if you do not come back after it is reinstalled to have it tuned the warranty is then voided. 95% of the issues with these 6,8, and 10 speeds are calibration issues that gm refuses to fix, and we are trying to solve these issues for longevity!
