Responsibilities
While we primarily work on all GM products, we also service a variety of makes and models. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning in a timely manner
Communication with Parts Specialist and Service Advisors
Road test vehicles when required
Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer, as well as ensuring customers vehicle is kept clean
Ensure that required documentation is completed and accurate
Maintains company equipment and reports any necessary repairs or maintenance
Maintain up-to-date knowledge about our industry
Ensure that workspace is kept clean and equipment and tools are kept in good condition and stored properly
Qualifications
Successful candidates for the Automotive Technician position will have:
3+ Years experience in the automotive industry
Diagnostic ability
Ability to be a self starter
Troubleshooting skills
Commitment to quality
Team player
Good communicator
Valid driver’s license
ASE/Manufacturer certifications preferred
Michigan State Certified
