(Owensboro, KY): Fans filled the grandstands on Sunday night at Windy Hollow Speedway for Fan Appreciation Night presented by Kelley Trucking.
The event included eight classes of racing, as well as a meet and greet with drivers at intermission where fans, cars and drivers filled the front stretch to take pictures, hand out candy and sigh autographs.
The marquee event was the $750 To Win Junior Crown Vic Race which included a stacked field of young drivers competing for the large pay day. The youngsters put on an exciting race in their 12-lap feature including multiple passes for the top position, but in the end, it was Hawesvilleโs Noah Wedding parking the No. 39 in victory lane followed hy Ellie Jewell and Justin Case.
Owensboroโs Anthony Plumeri led flag-to-flag in the Economy Class in his No. 11X Chevrolet Camaro followed by Kyle Lambert and Morgan Vanover.
The Bomber feature included several passes for the lead between Terrence Phelps, Bobby Gregory and Trevor Tune but in the end, it was Dunmorโs Terrence Phelps capturing the win in a new car that he just finished building on Saturday. Trevor Tune finished second followed by Russell Murray.
Trey Duncan from Mayfield made the trip to Windy Hollow Speedway to stretch his legs on the mini-stock field capturing the feature win followed by Chevy Burgess and Michael Fletcher.
Jamey Embry had a โsuperbโ race in the Rusty Bolt parking the No. 74 Superb Heating and Cooling Chevrolet in Windy Hollow Speedway Victory Lane. James Dale Embry came home runner-up followed by Joey Summers.
In the Crown Vic class, it was Mike Royal, Camden Rudd and James Dockery who switched the lead back and forth multiple times in the 12-lap feature. When the checkered flag fell, it was Rudd taking home the win followed by James Dockery, and Kyle Lambert.
Owensboroโs Jeff Maysey qualified first in the 602/604 Crate Late Model Class and never looked back capturing the heat win and the feature. Jake Wilson finished second followed by Cayden Boone.
In the CRUSA Street Stock class, Jeff Maysey once again went to victory lane in the Steve Tong Home Improvement No. 171 machine followed by Adam Burch, and Matt Kelley.
