What's that squealing noise in my diesel pickup? Well in this case it was an extremely blown out exhaust manifold gasket due to broken off manifold studs. Unfortunately to resolve this issue in a 6.7 PSD the turbo has to be removed to gain access to the manifolds. Now fortunately there is an easy enough fix for this. Ford sells a new longer stud for the rear of the manifolds that do not break. This F-550 is now squeel free and has more power to boot.

Had this hoss of an F350 in the shop for some TLC recently. The pickup only had 70k miles but was in need of some work. Upon acceleration it had a horrible sequel due to a blown out uppipe gasket. The pickup also received some tuning to add an exhaust brake to help slow down the heavy load that the gentleman both hauls and pulls with this rig. The pickup also received two new rear tires, a full synthetic oil change, new batteries, and new battery terminals.

Had a quick weekend project. Customers 2017 F350 had gotten severely overheated and killed the big 6.7 PSD. The pickup has just crossed 200k miles and I believe a bad fan clutch caused the overheating condition. So a used 2017 motor with 120k miles was sourced and dropped in. This engine RandR was slightly more difficult than normal because the engine was completely seized. Meaning that the transmission had to be removed to gain access to the torque converter bolts.

Had a 2006 Chevy 2500 in the shop last week that had a rather odd failure of the passenger side head gasket. The pickup only had 70k miles on it. One of the layers of the MLS head gasket actually split and flooded the cylinder with coolant. Fortunately it did not bend a connecting rod or cause any permanent damage to the motor. And as company policy the waterpump and thermostat were replaced with the head gaskets to prevent any future issues.

Installed a 2019 6.7 PSD into this work horse of an 2011 F-550 for a customer. There are multiple benefits to going with a later engine, we have a larger less failure prone turbo, larger connecting rods, larger fuel injectors/injection pump. Unfortunately being a single cab, it is not practical to remove the cab and we had to do this motor swap the old fashioned way. While we were in there the customer also got a disaster prevention kit to help eliminate any worries about a fuel system failure.

Had a rather odd electrical issue on this customers Cummins. When the high beams were turned on the dash would light up like a Christmas tree and the motor would actually cut out. We decided to do some voltage drop testing and found that at the TIPM we had a 3 volt loss between the cable and the fuse box due to a poor connection. The voltage in the fuse box was dropping down to 9 volts when the high beams were on causing pickup wide electrical issues. After cleaning up the connection all electrical issues went away and they are GTG.

Had a customer get extremely lucky with their 2020 6.7 Powerstroke F-350. The pickup accidentally got a full tank of gas rather than diesel. The pickup was run till it shut itself off and that's when we got the call. Upon inspection it was found that the injection pump was not damaged and had not sent metal through the fuel system. If it had, the bill would have been in excess of $10,000. After finding this we elected to install a disaster prevention kit to avoid any future worries from a CP4 pump failure. After draining and refilling the fuel tank with diesel the pickup started up and runs great.

Redirected a very nice 7.3 that had sat for the last 2 years unused. Diagnosed a no start condition, fixed a fuel leak from under the turbo, installed new up pipes, rebuilt the turbo, installed both a billet wheel and a 1.00 fast spool exhaust housing, upgraded the starting system with a pair of new batteries and a new glow plug relay that is rated for double the amps of a factory fail prone unit, replaced a cracked factory air box with a high flow aftermarket filter fxed the death wobble with a new set of trac bat bushings, installed three new drive line U Joints, replaced a leaky transfercase seal, and did some work to make the pickup more enjoyable to the customer. We fixed two broken door handles and lubricated the mechanism to stop them from breaking again... topped of the AC system and lastly reattached the boot around the shifter to reduce noise in the cab.

Rebuilt a customer's turbo on this 01 7.3 Powerstroke. The last turbo was killed by a dust from a cracked air box. The turbo was rebuilt with with KC Turbos gen 2 billet wheel and new updated oil seals. The cracked aitbox was replaced with an open element filter that breaths and filters better than the stock filter to avoid more damage in the future. The pickup also had oil in the cooling system from a blown oil cooler. So the system was flushed, the cooler resealed and the system refilled with SCA precharged coolant. This otherwise all stock 7.3 now build 20lbs of boost and is good to go for another 300,000 miles.

Installed a KC turbos balanced assembly into a customer's 6.0 Powerstroke. It is a 10 blade exhaust so it has the sweet noise of a 03 6.0. Same size but much more efficient design leads to faster spool up and cooler egts. This 6.0 sounds sweeter and runs cooler.
