**IMPORTANT**
Hello everyone, its been awhile since I last posted, but wanted to give an update. I plan on exiting the detailing business as I'm getting older and find it harder to recover after each detail. What I would like to do is gauge everyone's interest on something.
I am entertaining the idea of offering training to people who might be interested in performing the type of work I do on cars, but on their own. The price would be a set amount above what I would normally charge (which isn't much), but it would also come with spray bottles, the 2 main types of cleaners that I use, some cleaning tools, etc..... I would not include a buffer unless you asked me to find you a good one. We would detail your car together and in the end you would know how to maintain you and your family's cars or start your own business with a basic understanding of how things work.
It would basically be an all day course on a weekend. Keep in mind that the work I do would usually be double to triple the cost at an actual detailing business. I've always prided myself on excellent results at a budget price point. You could learn to do it yourself every time, all for less than the cost what a full detail with polishing would cost you at another shop.
I know there are some car people in there, I would hate to just stop detailing without passing on some knowledge.
Thoughts? Any interest or ideas?
