I purchased this particular 1986 Mustang in 2003 shortly after my daughter was born. Prior to this I was an LS1 F-Body guy, but those had to go and I got stuck driving econo-boxes for a while when I had to get back into a "Muscle Car." Since I had already been racing several other of my vehicles at the now de-funct Carlsbad Raceway in Sout

hern California it was only natural to start tinkering with this one. It's seen 3 different paint schemes, and just as many engines since I've owned it. I have logged nearly 100K miles in it since my ownership and it will be turning the 200K mark no doubt in the summer of 2013.

Well, that trip didn’t go as planned! Didn’t even make a hit. Was warming the clutch on a desolate pit road and the six year old PST had enough. Notice the lack of pe*******on on the tube itself, yet there’s two passes on the yoke. Hopefully I can get this fixed, or a new one for the race next Saturday.

Went down to Norwalk to watch the big boys run this past weekend. Ended up getting to autograph a few Funny Cars for Veteran appreciation, didn’t make it back to the Top Fuel cars to sign those.

Not only did we drive it down to St. Louis, I also made a single hit at midnight just to say I did. Even though it had blower belt slip and only ran a 12.35@110 I still call it a win as it got us home with just under 1200 miles trip total. Have I mentioned how much I enjoy this 2SLO2V?
